visa Applications, if yes , another problem is that my mum surname is not same as mine as she is using her father's name as surname , pls , is it true that my birth certificate showing her name as my mother will take care of that? Really don't know what to do and transferring funds takes another 29days bf I can use it ? Your mum can indeed sponsor you with funds in her own account. All you need to show is your birth certificate with her name and your marriage certificate to show your name change.

Your mum can sponsor you, her child. Not her son in law or grandchildren.
The birth certificate will take care of any discrepancy so far you can prove relationship.

Its not about CAS, its about previous records with ukvi if you have applied before.

As per Teesside CAS, there is no letter. Only an email that includes your CAS number and your student details (amount deposited, student number, and all).
