What Do You Love About Nigeria? by XperienceNaija: 2:04pm On Aug 06, 2021 |
In our last street interview, we felt that despite the bad narrative about Nigeria and the inconsistency of our government or leaders in particular, there are still some things that looking at other countries, Nigeria and Nigerians are by far performing best at. We've heard a couple of success stories from different sectors in Nigeria despite the hardship in the nooks and crannies of this nation. Then, we decided to ask this simple question "What do you love about Nigeria?" A lot of responses we got proved that Nigeria can still be developed if well managed by the right set of leaders. This is a 2 minute brief of what several Nigerians told us about what they love about Nigeria. In your own opinion, what would you say you love about Nigeria really? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vo-J6cB0-Lg 1 Like |

Nigerian foods. We dey share joy and happiness. The people, diversity. The Igbo bragging and Yoruba Owambe all gives me joy. Helpful people, good people. We should hold our leaders accountable, say no to vote buy. 34 Likes 3 Shares |

I don't love anything about Nigeria PS: We have all been saying that lalasticala loves snakes. It seems he is not alone because Seun's Wikipedia page says he's a snake handler. I have no idea what that means. 14 Likes 4 Shares

XperienceNaija: The people. They are resilient, persistent, hardworking and driven with a sense of humor second to none. They can make a joke of anything and everything. I love the sense of community. The unsolicited concern about others welfare, especially in rural communities. It's your unwritten duty to check if your neighbor has returned from journey or not...or if it is actually mama Titi that's making the sound from her compound. Family's got your back too. You can be completely jobless for months and still have a roof over your head and food to eat...no matter how little. Need money to start business? The family contributes, no matter how little. In anything you do or face in life, you're not just doing so alone. In summary, the harsh, cold, I-don't-owe-you-shit way of life perculiar to the west does not hold here. Over there, relationship of any form is purely transactional. you're all alone against the harsh realities of life...no matter how many neighbours or family members arround you. Sadly though, we're losing this priceless feature every single day, and i fear we'll soon become hollowed, empty, cold and souless like them. 47 Likes 1 Share |

I have never liked Nigeria. When I was in ivory coast. I enjoyed uninterrupted power supply and the country was very well organized. I love Nigeria because I have spent so many years here I miss our meals. Those people over there don't know how to prepare our own cuisine too well. I believe whenever I moved to a better country like USA or Canada. I go tell this country bye bye. This I have seen like that falseprophet for the thread they always talk 8 Likes |
