As long as they live in our dear state, they're Edo people.
Onitsha have a lot of Edo culture, why are we not claiming onitsha? There's Asaba and the rest of Anioma people who have similarities with Edo people.
What the guy is trying to say is that the igbos are the most scattered people around the world

Your oba knows this truth.... it's why he usually comes to yorubaland to pay homeage. You've not finished ridding Edo state of cultism, witchcraft, prostitution and human trafficking you're busy laying claim to Lagos while your mates are being of impact to their communities..... shameless, stupid, e-community thug.

you are CRAZY. GOD punish igbo people. Do you people have oil? You think any South South State will follow you people to your fake promise land? Edo are not Igbo

Insults will not change the fact that there are IGBO clans in Edo state

Shouting GOD punish IGBOs will not delete the fact that there are IGBOs klin Edo state.

And YES, Both IGBO land(Extends to the SS and middle belt) and SE has more than enough oil n gas that will serve us till the end of this century and beyond. IMO Anambra and Abia are already oil producing. And few weeks back, the courts have declared that 43 oil wells belonging to IGBOs which past leaders forced into Rovers state belongs to igbos.

Who God has blessed, no man can curse.

Etsako Central people are not Igbos. Their language and culture is mostly Edoid but one can't rule out small similarities with Igbos because our fathers did travel far and wide those days rendering services all over the SS and SE. Most Estako people are called Afenmai and certain clans their have noted some connections they have with Igbos notably the metalsmiths in one small community their who claim relationship with the famous Awka Blacksmiths. Awka Blacksmiths were known to have travelled to Idah, deep into Edo state and as far as Urhoboland as itinerant artisans. There are historical records by researchers. Masquerade masks from Igboland have been seen among the Estakos which possibly was borrowed from their. This New Yam festival may also be borrowed since most Edoid are not known for having such festivals.
By and large, these people are not Igbos both linguistically and culturally. They are clearly Edoid but certain features among them are also found among the Igbos.
Edo North is a very complex area of different languages. It's very clear that the power of the Benin Kingdom was what held away and greatly influenced.
This is why the eroded history in our schools so people like you will not know their root

They should not claim to be Igbos if they know what's good for them.

Dont intentionally reason like a Morron pls. State creations does not decide where an individual comes from, Rather their tribes represents who they are.

IGBOs in edo state haven't turned into Esan tribe just because a president creates states.

Onitsha has bini culture within them and that's not a confusing scenario...The founder Onitsha is an IGBO man named Eze chima, He was amongst the IGBOs who were part of the bini kingdom who went back to their own land during the Idu wars...Onitsha is 100% IGBO, You cannot do anything about this fact.

Agbada is a northern thing which the yorubas adopted, rename and created a variant.

You make it look like obi of Onitsha official wear is agbada which is not am and Idebunking.
This is the same Obi of Onitsha in he attire.and you should know by now that babanriga is a West African thing.

So all in all all of you adopted it.

When Nnamdi Kanu says we are taking some Edo people with us to Biafra, these are some of the people. These are pure Igbo blood.

This is an insult to Etsako people.
I expected this comment to come from people like you.
Ogbona may have meaning in igbo but it also has another meaning in Etsako language. Etsako people have no bearing, link whatsoever with igbo people. Etsako language has its roots in the Edoid language. Yam is celebrated even as far as in the gwari kingdom. Let everyone enjoy his ethnic diversity and stop all these traits of domination and expansionist tendencies. Even if Nigeria splits today, Etsako people will return to the Midwestern Nigeria province created by plebiscite of 1963.
Edo culture is seen as far as Onitsha but we don claim ownership of onitsha...all these igbo online warriors always trying to misinform people should stop!

Wikipedia is the only history source for history revisionists because they can easily edit it......your obi only wears that his rettarded costume anytime once in a while......all historical facts, records and museums point that agbada is a Yoruba attire and it doesn't mean other cultures don't have their own variations.

Below is the real fulani attire before they themselves copied the Yoruba's.

Who did this to you na? Or is it that you don't take time to study Nigerian ethnic groups? Etsako people have no roots with igbo. Etsako people are Afenmai people. They have their roots from Benin. I dare you to go there and mention Biafra to them or even mention Nnamdi KANU.....body go tell you. Our grandparents told us how igbo soldiers invaded parts of Etsako land during the coercive and manipulative civil war but thank goodness we fished them all out. cheesy
If Nigeria divides, we return to status quo of 1963. Midwest region.
Edo rich history spreads to Onitsha, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Ondo, Lagos and Benin Republic (Isidahome kingdom)
