jorginho has joked that he has already messaged Lionel Messi asking him to join Chelsea following his departure from Barcelona.

The Italian’s performances for both club and country have him in the mix to win the Ballon D’Or trophy this year, with Messi expected to be one of his closest competitors for the award.

Referencing Messi’s impending departure from Barcelona, Jorginho confessed he hopes that the Argentinian doesn’t move to the Premier League, unless he joins him at Stamford Bridge.

‘I’ve already texted him (laughs). I’m kidding, I’m not even kidding about it. If he does not to come to Chelsea, let him go away (from the Premier League). I saw it (the departure) and I was like ‘ what happened?’. I was incredulous. I was wondering if it was fake news,’ Jorginho told TNT Sports Brasil.

Even without Messi, this current Chelsea squad under TT and with Lukaku coming in, will be a force to be reckoned with. Although I'm not a big fan of Lukaku.
