Europe and Property acquisition. The attitude of the europeans compared to that of some of us just coming to Europe as regards property acquisition is very different. To the European a house is nothing more than a roof over ones head, whether bought or rented is of little significance. To some of us just coming to Europe, we may see Property acquisition as an untapped Goldmine but in reality it is not. It is not uncommon to get direct property sales offer from the owner at rates below the market level. I got 2 such offers some years back which I did took. My children who were born and grew up here are least interested in property inheritance. Watch your children grow up here without too much Nigerian home influence you will surely notice this same tendency in their orientation. Another significant factor is the time factor, In Europe time runs so fast, nobody will need to tell you that life is short unlike Nigeria where the more wealth you have the more you will believe that life is forever. 3 Likes |
