Land beacons should be protected as much as possible during construction because they are a very good way of proving the actual size and dimensions of the land after the fence is done. I can dig around the land beacon, or remove it from the ground temporarily and replace it after blinding the foundation. Another thing I do is to preserve the markings on the beacon so the original writings of the surveyor will be visible anytime it needs to be seen. I sometimes use nylon sheets to place over the marked top to prevent wet cement spilling on the top of the beacon.

We plan to speed up activities in this site to make moves towards the finish of the building. Many works planned for this week.

I asked because 'you' often suggest set backs for future developments. In such situation, will the beacons be removed and placed in the new areas of the fence? Or they are left in the original spots?

No, Coleman is of comparable quality and I have used it once or twice in some sites, but I have a problem with Coleman, it's easy for fraudulent people to fake Coleman because it's open and easy to exchange, just wrap it right back.

Cutix has stayed ahead of the fakers, changing packets often and sealing their packets, even binding them tight with branded plastic. They also print their brand on the cable sheatings.

On one occasion when I measured some other brands, I found out they are not up to the advertised length of cable, Cutix is always complete.

The materials for the construction of a gate and a tank stand has already been supplied to this site. Work on the two is planned to start today.
