Tannhauser: It really was. With dashes of humour here and there. I just wished the story wouldn't end. I got hooked from the very first paragraph. 1 Like |

What an experience indeed, i followed your write up till the end and i must confess that you faced more challenge than you have written. It is a risky adventure you shouldn't have embarked on if you knew the risk involved. It's years past now but always thank your God for protection 1 Like |

Very interesting read! Nice travel journalism, Witty sentences, nice prose. Very funny and hilarious scenes too. Like the part where Chris wanted to make the guys spend another night in a DSS cell all because of a piece of jewelry. LOL. NOT HAPPENING! I personally have always distrusted guys who wear chains, like one former Oyo state governor I'm not going to mention. But a thoroughly engaging write up. I ended up suspending every other thing I was doing to read from a to zee. If this guy writes a book, damn sure I'm buying. All the creative writing aside tho, its really sad to see what Boko Haram has reduced the country to. Really really sad. Used to be that u could just go anywhere in the county not too long ago. A toxic pervasive pseudo-religious idea changed all that. Tragic. To all those complaining about the length of the article, remember that saying? The best place to hide a thing from a black man is inside a book cos he'd never open it. Who knows what fact/info u guys might have missed out on 'buried' inside this write-up? 5 Likes |

BBQZ: Im guessing nothing really interesting abt the part leading up to their Biu detour. And nothing really interesting after it. Just boring and humdrum stuff. As a matter of fact the writter demarketed Idanre hills to me in a few sentences . Just goes on to buoy my long held belief that most popular tourist attractions in Nigeria are overrated and totally not worth the bother. My humble opinion tho. |

nitt: Great point made bro. The lack of cohension and a common front on the part of the security agent is a flaw and weakness that the enemy can capitalize upon. Though to be sure, it is a common plight of security agents everywhere in the world. Each agency trying to outdo the other and catch something that a sister agency missed. Basically trying to justify the need for their own existence given the multi level duplication of duties. Good for the joutnalists tho, that the DSS didn't see the need to 'pass' them down to the police. They wouldn't have been able to escape bailing themselves 4 Likes |

This was a riveting piece. Had my attention from the very first sentence. Modified: Then came the indiscriminate gunfire towards the windows, picking out boys trying to jump out. The students who didn’t meet bullets met knives, slitting their throats. When morning came, the count said fifty-nine boys didn’t make it through the night. Later they tell us they’re not repentant and ask for “our” forgiveness. Did they listen to the pleas of their victims whose throat they slit? Did they show mercy to those whom they gunned down? Did they even feel moved by the primal cries of their terrified victims? See ehn, let the world end make people suffering end. The things God will judge ehn… 2 Likes |

MSRA:You are wrong when it comes to the intelligence agencies working together, although I agree with you that they always try to outdo each other. Do you try to imagine how they were passing him from one agencies to another for cross-check. Ever wondered how they got to know about Is presence at the first holding area? They share information |
