The question sometimes can have different meaning depending on who's asking but mostly that's the intention behind it.

For example, if a random girl or someone you're chyking asks you that question, she wants to know if you're person of high is status or low status so she can know where to place you in her heart.

You can use it to gauge how a girl is gonna react by answering that you work in a position that signify you're low status, if she acts disinterested or funny, you should know your next move.

Great job Undercover. TRP (the one preached) has been an advocate of abstinence from female friendships (platonic) due to obvious reasons with the major being disrespect and zoneships (friendzoneship, brotherzoneship, bestiezoneship, shawarmazoneship and the likes). I'd suggest/ plead that you write on this topic extensively if you can. It'll go a long way in clearing some misconceptions about interactions with the other gender.
