University of Sunderland is saying I pay 50% of tuition before enrolment, school fees cheep but I just don't know how viable Sunderland is in terms of Job and accomodation

Please i need you advise on this. I did my biometrics alongside my wife on the 2nd August at TLS VI, i did priority for my wife( main applicant) and standard for myself (dependant). My wife received collection mail yesterday and i’m yet to receive any mail as my application is still showing “Application received by DMC”, my question is can i take out some out of the funds i used as pof for her cause all the money was put in my wife’s account? 2. Can i send a paid mail to know if decision has been made on my application? 3. Is it possible they treated our case differently cause most times as i have seen on here that most family’s application come out almost the same time . Kindly please advise as ur kind advise will be much appreciated.

Didn't know when I was congratulating @Owlette that my collection email was sitting pretty in my inbox.

Just got my visa

Application date: 2nd Aug
Biometrics: 3rd Aug walk-in
Added service: Priority
Collection mail: Today 9th August 11am
Pickup: Today 9th August 2pm
Confirmed Vignette and letter in parcel

Thank God.

Visas of the remaining 3 family members ready yesterday, picked today. All priority. Thank God.

You did standard. Standard takes about 14 or 15 working days. Some people were only lucky to have it considered at the same time

Congratulations! Did you receive collection email? I also did my biometrics on the 3rd and it shows that it has been transferred to VAC but no collection email yet.

You'd be amazed at the things you will find if you surf the Internet... Just Google to find out about living in Sunderland as an individual, and living in Sunderland as a student, search for job opportunities/availability in Sunderland... Just Google everything, and look for people who are going there too or those who are already there, you'd find answers

1. You opted for standard. I suggest you wait the days out. People you read about are an exception not the rule. Please also paid priority and got collection more than 5 days after.

2. Leave the funds until you get a decision for everyone please.

3. Do not bother about paid email for now. It is obvious it was treated differently.

My suggestions, but No 2 is important.

Not read of any school that does not set same conditions on the 50%.

The school website has resources that addresses accommodation (school and private). Everywhere has opportunities for jobs, sometimes you just have to be on ground to explore especially if its outside your area of study.

Napier student pls i know there was no interview done with sch but did the home office schedule any interview for you? Because i was scheduled for an interview for 9th of August and am yet to do it. I have sent series of mails, no response. My biometrics was done on july 8, standard and since then nothing.
They sent 3 not straight forward emails before scheduling interview for me. I don’t know what to think and this waiting is hell…..been thinking if they can just say, no interview again grant her visa….,lol

I am yet to be interviewed or even called but that could change in the next few days as I am yet to get my visa, Rayralph wasn't interviewed though and he has gotten his

I have a maternal uncle in London with whom I'll be staying during the duration of my studies but while filling my application my agent said I should put 'No' as a reply to 'Do you have a family member in the UK'

And I should also write the school's address instead of his own address

Meanwhile, I plan to stay at his place for quarantining and studies itself

Any opinions on this subject please
