Lol, I have been working for 7 years, it’s not possible that I have 4m saved? I had fixed deposit since June 2020, I liquidated it into my salary account and reapplied

bigtt76:
Did you show them your source of income (N4M) The bulk fund of N6M might have did you in. Perhaps in addition to the gift deed, you got your uncle to also state he would foot the cost of your study and set aside the funds as a proof of funds unencumbered rather than just his net worth, the story would've been different. Net worth of your sponsor does not automatically translate to funds available for your studies.

My uncle gave me 6m since nov2020 and wrote a sponsorship letter that he will be willing to further support me where required, did affidavit, receipt of payment and gift deed

I think the VO only focused on your husband's statement of account and not your uncle/mum.

It's well.

What of her own account? Over 10 million naira? And almost full payment of school fees. I am short of words, but still, God is still good.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by RoliA: 8:03pm On Aug 11, 2021
First application mentioned that. I rebutted and attached all documents. The gender mentioned is the VOs error, I’m female which I refuted

Thaiy:

Your notes says there are no documents to support financial support, also the gender mentioned says male, your moniker say otherwise.

I sure will say be encouraged and reapply. Get the note you already applied, if it dies not give details, order a fresh one, covering from after this denial........address issues raised, there are lots of people here who will give you the help needed for a well packed application when reapplying.

Also, let all hope be in God, it will work out well for us all.

Lol, I had 10.3m in my salary account. 1.4m in mutual fund, pension fund of 2.4m. I had only 4900 cad tuition left, I paid 28k.

Like I said, getting approved is a lot of grace with a sprinkle of luck

Anyone with a fighting spirit is an eligible candidate, you equally deserved it and you got it. I my time will come, till then, do us proud so statistics of good Nigerians will go up and improve our reputation. Thanks a lot. I will refire in September.

Cheers

Fact is, one could do everything right and still be refused. That's where judicial review is supposed to come in. but it can be expensive and sometimes long and dreadful, one might as well reapply.

@RollyA whatever you do, please don't give up.
You're definitely among those eligible to study in Canada. In fact, more eligible than I am.

Wishing you all the best.

Honestly I know all these applications are approved by God's grace.

It is not about how you package it or how your financial status is.
It is not about your family ties or academic progression.
This is just God and God alone. No more no less

I second this. When God says it is time for approval, the VO will only see what God want him to see.

Congratulations!
Was it the same course you applied for the first, second and third refusal? What did you change?

[quote author=Jarkanye post=104665237]Good morning everyone

PPR and BVL 7th August.

This is to give someone hope.

0ctober 20th applicant
3rd application or should I say 4th?
Let me make my story shortcos if I write them all Mmhm e long.
NSE route thou I didn't use my bank statement
I was refused in January reason:Finance, that my money won't be available maybe because I used mutual fund account.
My sponsors account was well funded ,At this point their reason didn't make sense at all to me.

I decided to appeal using an agent in March cos this is my 3rd refusal .
We waited to see if they will respond, we didn't hear from them thou agent said most times they ignore the appeal .

April I re applied 4th application using same agent
Waiting started again I told agent let's book upfront medical he refused and said we should wait .

I shared my first refusal notes. They made the error, they referred to me as a male which I refuted in my second application.

Lol, I provided salary statement using MBS, even attached payslips and promotion letter

The more reason you should go for JR
why will they refer to you as male when otherwise. More evidence to show they weren’t thorough with your application
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by RoliA: 8:58pm On Aug 11, 2021
I’m trying to be careful. Same refusal reasons in my applications must have been analysed by different VOs. I will consider JR, if there are no close/similar reasons. I’m also shopping for affordable consultants, JR is like the cost of my tuition balance. But then again, whatever my consultant says. Lol. But I get you and your concerns are valid.

Hello dear RoliA.
I am so sorry this happened to you a second time, i feel so pained and sad like i knew you before.

Please i love that you would be consulting an immigration consultant. If you wish to JR not minding the cost, i want you to know it doesnt take much time as speculated here. Infact they might/will re-visit your doc already submitted and with speed.
When i JRed, tho an European country few years back, my parents and i asked them(embassy) to compensate me and even pay for my lawyer fee who was based in that country for the trauma they put me through when they refused me for a baseless reason, but the embassy assured that i would be granted visa again since they saw we meant business and we were ready for them but then they asked that we withdraw our request for them to compensate me / pay my lawyer fee...
My visa was granted with speed.

Those people do these sh*t mostly to Nigerians cos they know we dnt like to Appeal or JR and they see us as thrash cos of our country's economy.

Please use that woman you shared her contact with me or KSA or which ever good one you got.

It must end in praises for you and Yes!!! Your "HAPPY NEW YEAR" wnt be in this country as you said.

Thanks a lot. Yes I have contacted her and I will pay for consultation as soon as I get my notes next month.

jR will definitely be an option but I will have my consultant advise as appropriate.

At least it means there have no other valid reason to refuse me, so whatever it takes

Hello all, good evening. Pls I need advise. My wife has just been issued a Study Visa and is leaving for Canada anytime soon. Next step is that I am considering applying for myself and my first daughter, who is 7yrs.
Question is .. What category of Visa should we be applying for? Visitor or Open Work permit.
Though the intention is for my daughter to enroll in primary school, while I will be visiting since I can’t leave my job. Appreciate any guidance or advise in this direction. Thanks

SOWP with a strong application and CASH.
Also, strong reason to bring you back to your country.

So sorry it happened like this but i know you are coming back victorious.

Please dnt change your course to a 1Yr program so you can get 3 years pgwp and have enough time to get a job and also apply for PR as at when ready.
Pay a year tuition fee and show you can fund the next year instead of paying for a semester.

Stephblues:
Really what they say about when it’s your time, nothing can stop it is really true. My story is a testimonial to that fact.

This journey started in 2017. I got back from the US and applied to a school in Texas, got admitted and I went on to apply for visa. I went with confidence thinking, what’s the worse that can happen? I was refused. I applied again and was refused twice again. I lost all hopes of traveling. I decided to look at Canada, unfortunately all the schools started rejecting me. I couldn’t get even one school not to talk of visa. So this year, I decided to change my plans and went for the UK, I immediately got admitted into 3 schools and with scholarships. My hope was restored. But my brother was still bent on me applying to Canada so I decided to give it another try. I applied to Trent and University of Windsor, Trent refused but I got Windsor. So I rushed to apply for visa to beat the May 15th deadline. To cut the story short, God came through for me. Below is my timeline.

First time applicant.
Age: 41
School: University of Windsor
Course: MSc Actuarial science
Submitted: May 12
Biometric request: May 13
Biometric done: May 14
Nse request: May 25th
Upfront Medical: updated to pass June 16th

Nothing else, no ghost update, nothing. I ordered my Gcms notes June 29th, I got it July 30th. I saw recommend interview. The wait continued until today.

I had given up hope that i even started my UK processing. I paid deposit in the Uk because at this point, I was tired, mind and body.

BVL and PPR: August 11 ( This day will forever be in my mind).

I want to thank everyone who has supported me in this journey, you all are angels in disguise. May all the PPR hopefuls get their joy soonest.

It has ended in praise.

Please when filling cost of studies;

If I am going for a 2 year course, will fill the full 2 years fee in full or just 1 year fee as placed in my LOA in IMM129e form.

THANK YOU IN anticipation

pls how do I go about with it, I read people saying they have sat down for this same exams more than 5 times,

pls what other exams that is available that is less easier as well as acceptable,

can I apply for the school as well as pay school fees while dagiram for the visa ni,

what if I failed and I have already paid for the school fees and other expenses,

If no

Pls what are the other options available for an olodo like me. Lol

Thanks boss

Hello sir.
I will try to answer these questions for others too to learn and while we await more input.

Canadian schools do not really need IELTS as long as your course were thought in English and you are from nigeria. You can get a note from your school showing that you did your education all in English.
Now if you dnt write IELTS now, i want you to know it wil surely hit you in front if your goal is PR.
The reason why people take ielt is to add to make their admission application strong and also for NSE route in case if they request for it.
You can go straight to take IELTS ACADEMIC so you can use it for both admission and visa.
People who take IELTS 5 times are those who have a target to meet and this is common for those in the PR lane. A high score will aid in your CRS score.
Then aside IELTs, you can take TOEFL which they say is easier than the formal, but you cant use it for visa.

If your visa is refused and you have paid tuition fee, let the school know and they if they have a refund policy, they will refund your fees.

My advice for you is to try and take the IELTs Academic atleast for practice sake to help you know the pattern ahead of PR and also for visa.

Go to youtube and search
E2language or jayielts
Or lizielts they will teach you the scope and how to ace the exam.
Or ieltsonline.com for practise.

Abroad education is not like nigeria, it is more intense. Your Brain no go block in jesus name cos you go need m for studies and ielt.

I hope i answered well for you and for others too.
Peace.

Personal Assets & Financial Status

My first preassessment notes were vague, in fact i still don't understand it till today as attached.

I did a lot of things differently despite that in this second application:

I paid 28k out of 33k of my tuition through my mum, she gave me 7m which i immediately used to pay 20k cad (in my first application i paid only 7k)
I showed 10.3m in bank account (MBS) (my sponsor gave me 6m since last year Nov and still standing in my account, balance of 4m was my savings) (funds were still intact)
i had mutual funds of 1.4m (since first application)
I had 2.4m in pension ( got a letter from PFA 25% is immediately accessible) also since my first application
i attached gift deeds for both my uncle and the new funds my mum gave me
My uncle showed over 18m in his bank plus introduction letter showing his net worth
My mum attached a retirement letter and stated that she had funds from her 32 years of working, she also had a balance of 4m left to show she will be fine
I included study leave and evidence I got a promotion last year and commendation for stepping in an acting position as MD.
My husbands business docs, showed also 2.3m in his account, he had 2m as fixed deposit (same with first application)
I attached his land docs and added the survey in the second application
i bought shares almost 500K to establish assets (new)

I have ordered for my first and second notes, maybe I should have ordered final notes from my first application because i used preassessment notes while my application was still in progress to apply.

I am numb, I am sad, I feel like all my efforts were in vain.

I had ordered my notes last month to see what was happening and they are only due tomorrow, i guess they dished out the refusal today so i wouldnt have time to ammend.

Sorry about your refusal. Your application is solid and it seems there was a mix up somewhere because the VO referred to you as a married Nigerian man instead of woman. I think you should appeal the decision instead of reapplying.
