LagosismyHome: Exactly, those together are still struggling with childcare, bills and breaking even and even having building asset portfolio in a system that is designed for you to be reliant on them. Wish the wife was on NL reading all this sha 1 Like |

Mrtruetalk: those kinds of men will prostrate to their wives in the middle of the night, to make the marriage work. they will come to nairaland and and be telling other men to leave their house.all this while they have not even heard the other side of the story. Swallow your Baale pride. Beg your wife, if you have to. Tell your mother (or her mother) to beg her too if necessary. Make your marriage work.... even if you manage to get your own visa independent of hers, you MUST contribute to the upkeep of those 2 children you have. And e no go be beans. 4 Likes |

Mrtruetalk: Uncle true talk seems you know them well oo, abeg help them settle it now and you maybe right as the wife stressing out with working with the NHS. Some hospitals ehn they are hell when it comes to their shift patterns. This is why working together as a couple is essential if its too stressful, assist her with finding a new job and get out of the contract. |

fatima04: If the wife were on NL reading this, I can assure you, she will just be shaking her head. She will be disappointed, not in her husband @Lightest, but will be disappointed at how some men have jumped into a matter that they know not the other side. 1 Like |

RalphJean: You are right but hopefully she is able to pick out the positives. Also could be an insight that he won't necessarily suffer visa wise if that was her punishment for a his shortcomings. May we never find ourselves in this type of situation |

lightest: That money that you want to use for a lawyer maybe both you and your wife should try going for therapy to help both of you communicate properly and find out what the problem is. You will be amazed at how much professional help will do for your marriage. Don’t knock it till you have tried it and your wife might even thank you for it later. 1 Like |

lightest: The Baale reference was a joke. But seriously, beg her. If e bad, tell your mama. Tell her mama make she beg am. Her papa sef, if him dey alive tell am mek him beg her. to be divorcee for dis obodo iya charlie no be easy matter especially as 2 children follow dey di matter. its easier to beg and plead and resolve, than to hire lawyer. 1st lesson wey i learn for this country: The system supports: 1. Women & Children 2. Animals 3. Men in that order. if u pursue legal means, las las na u go wound. alternative dispute resolution na him be baba. 3 Likes |

What part of England can one live In that you can make your money go farthest i.e very reasonable accommodation and not London and Peri London prices .The kind of pay they pay in this U.K to doctors is ridiculous for such a skilled and risk taking job and I need to make my money go as far as possible.I'm talking of like an area where you can get three bedrooms or 2 bedrooms for 600 to 700 pounds and live reasonably well.. |

girlsupersonic: NIN is not required in some passport office Yes Vetting and capturing is possible in some command if you’re able to persuade the officer in charge( meaning you will have to water the ground) 1 Like |

If you are a doctor then when you come in, get used to the work system and start doing plenty locum...that's the best way to augment your funds For places to stay, try the Midlands...cities here are usually more diverse and are reasonably balanced in terms of jobs and family life Sohot: 1 Like |

Good morning all, I'm looking to get help before embarking on this UK journey. I have a B.A in English, with a PGDE and TRCN inclusive. Before now, I was thinking of getting a Masters in Education in U.K.. I have been teaching as an English Teacher for some years now with different schools here in Nigeria. Upon checking list of work shortage in UK, found out that teaching English over there doesn't seem realistic or inclusive in the list Now, I need help on other viable courses to go in for. ( I'm also presently learning Graphics- based on flair for design and in a bid to explore Tech- field) |
