Good morning guys I have been observing some names; Hadampson, Richdee1, Nicklausfred etc. You guys are really trying! I just finished my UnderG exams this month. I will make efforts to starts saving! I wish to someday move out hopefully on a work visa. What currency are you guys saving in? If in foreign currency, how easy is it to do that? I don't have a domiciliary account. There's a "Gerrard" that always advises intending travelers to save in foreign currencies. |

ProJectAnatot: Which country do you intend travelling on a work visa? I would advise you to make your research well so you dnt put your mind on something than wont be feasible or allow agent wash your head. Try open a dom acct, the requirements arent much, then buy dollars when you receive money in your normal acct and save there to save you from Naira devaluation. 1 Like 1 Share |

Depending on the Country we individually have in mind of leaving Nigeria for Please let's do a lot of Research, don't Load your eggs in one basket, If going through Express Entry will take time, you can research using the Study Route, Just Note that Canada's Schools pay a High Amout of Canadian Dollars. You can also apply for scholarship to get additional fundings to help you out No matter what route we're planning to use, let's make a Lot of research before hand Someone on travel section created a thread of how he went to Kenya for studies, after 6 months he applied for German study visa and got it under 1 month, just know if na Nigeria, you go spend 3 months befo5 they get back to you. So we can also use other Top African Countries as a stepping stone Giant of Africa don loose guard So if going through High end Africa Countries is the way, as long as it's all legal, please do All in all let's do it legal on here And also, if you procastinate a lot about taking steps for your travel plans, paste it on here, we'll definitely keep you on reminder as a Crew! GodsGabby: Thanks for your response. UK, Ireland or Australia. . . this countries give Work Visa's to some jobs known as shortage occupations and my course of study happens to be one of them. . . these courses includes Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical radiography, Doctors etc. I don't plan to use an agent when the time comes. About the dorm account, are there banks that may have advantages over others in terms of lesser account opening amount, easy access to funds etc?.. I will still research on it though. |

ProJectAnatot: People say Gtbank is good cos it can be accessible outside but they say the charges are kinda high. But i know of firstbank, they just need signatories who have acct with them and then they open it while they advice you put in money quickly even if it's 100usd. For the job, i wish you success. But why dnt you go through the study route esp for UK since they give scholarship too and it's easy to get admission. 1 Like |

Re: Trails of Green (T.O.G) by Nobody: 11:56am On Aug 13, 2021 |
Hadampson: All these just boils down to the "NIGERIA FACTOR". They see Nigerians as "japa" candidates. Sometimes when you move to those africa countries, they require you to have stayed for like six month there. Like the US embassy sometimes will send you back to apply from your home country if they see you came just for appointment there. Ordinary SA dey take months to give nigerians visa, a whole giant of africa in the Mud. Well let God help. 1 Like |

Thanks for the thread. Is it possible to always carry ourselves along especially for those that have common countries in mind and work towards both savings/scholarship while still acquiring skills (please drop if you know any). Seems like a lot of work but it's very possible. I have just Germany in mind cause of the low school fee and intend to explore other countries after schooling but getting AD is becoming very difficult so thinking of branching which is faster but more expensive than going directly. I'm working on getting my passport as that is the first step to take. If you have other countries that fit into our common want(less money to migrate to and economically good), please share tips or direct us to the thread. Thank you |

ProJectAnatot: It depends on the course/program, country and school. The US have more funding compared to canada and Uk. That doesnt mean those countries dont give too. You need to sacrifice to get what you want, especially when it has to do with long term goals like this. People are dying to have just partial funding sef so if you see one be happy. You just have to make research. I hope job route is fast for you tho. U can Follow some academic twitter to know more about UK. 2 Likes |

Hadampson: Add Norway in place of Portugal. And these countries you listed have language barriers which is needed for you to integrate well into their system. Except like said, you just need them as a stepping stone. |

GodsGabby: South Africa is not ordinary o and Nigeria is not the giant of Africa, Giant of Africa title should be awarded to either Egypt or South Africa. When you check positive indexes, you hardly find Nigeria on the top 10 list except for entertainment. That is by the way. Some Nigerians have used other African countries to go to western world. In Seychelles for example, it's very easy to get visa over there cos the processing time is very fast if not the fastest in the whole of Africa. I heard it takes less than a day to get Schengen visa but i don't know if it's possible to get it as a resident in that country. How i wish I was a Seychellois, i wouldn't have even thought of leaving the country. 3 Likes |
