I currently work in one of the Third Generation Banks as a full staff. Currently I am on the second level in the sales department, salary is good, being considered for promotion which hasn't come in a while, based in Abuja with family and all.

Got an offer with a better 3rd generation bank. next level in a different department, higher pay but will have to relocate to Kaduna. Report directly to a Group Head, will have a dedicated car but greater responsibility.

The current place is like my comfort zone, I'm well known and I've been here for Seven years.

Please advice whether to move or not.

Change is constant and you have said it all they gave you a lot of responsibility that means trust and believe in you, so don't be reluctant be the boss you are suppose to be.
Congratulations.

Leave your comfort zone. You're lucky it's not to your detriment in this case, buh with greater responsibilities and motivation too which gives you an opportunity to prove yourself buh don't forget to count the cost of relocation especially cos you've got a family.

What do you mean by Different department, is it still Marketing?

You body language suggest it is as you mentioned being know for 7 years in Abuja.

Clarify the new department in the new Bank.

Pray to God for Divjne Guidance. Both offers are good. But your future is more important. Seek Spiritual advice from a clergy. You really need Divine guidance e so you don't trash your future on wrong decision

The ultimate choice is up to you.

When making decisions, you weigh Pros and Cons of the two options A and B. List pros and cons of option A and that of B in order to get a clear picture.

I wish you the best.

Would have advised you to take up the new work with higher challenges cuz you will be more developed if not for the security challenges in kaduna.

Leaving your family behind and travel to kaduna for the new job will make you spend more.

From abj to Kaduna is just 3 to 4 hours. Take the new offer.

Kaduna is safe and cheap. Dont let people who haven't leave their streets deceive you. There are only 20 commercial banks in Nigeria, that means opportunities for career growth are limited.

If you want opportunity and career growth, you need to be able to change location all the time. That is how it is.

Your family can be in abj and you can visit them on weekends or you could move with your family if you want.

Your work load will be reduced and you might also be reporting to abj headquarters sometimes.

Take up the new opportunity.

You have to consider security challenges in Kaduna, Abuja is safe. You may spend more to stay in expensive area in Kaduna if not the offer is better.

Pray about it but if I may posit, it's this periodic change of jobs especially in the banking industry that makes one an experienced hire.

Goodluck !
