The point is this current United team is a far cry from the United of Rooney, Giggs, Scholes, Berbatov, Chicharito, etc.

I remember back then as a Chelsea fan, I would experience chills in my body and palpitations days before a game between United and Chelsea. I know I outgrew that as a person, but United's decline played a huge part.

Coming up 2nd or 3rd consecutively is not necessarily a sign that you'll win the league soon. Clubs are coming up this season, it's going to be a tough one for the big guns. It's high time United started fighting for titles with the zeal of their past heroes. That is the only way the fear will be revived.
