More Boko Haram Fighters ‘Surrender To Troops’

More Boko Haram fighters have reportedly surrendered to troops of the Nigerian Army.

According to military sources, 190 insurgents surrendered in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State on Saturday.

Our Correspondent gathered that residents were marvelled when they sighted the large number of the terrorists who arrived in Mafa town on Saturday.

According to the security source, those who surrendered comprise top fighters, foot-soldiers, their wives and children.

The surrendered terrorists also appealed to the Nigerians to forgive them and assured residents that they were voluntarily surrendered, saying peace is better than war.

It would be recalled that the Nigerian military has claimed that a total of 1081 terrorists and their families have so far surrendered to the armed forces in the last two weeks.

The development comes days after insurgents who surrendered begged Nigerians for forgiveness.

Their plea had generated mixed reactions as some persons said they do not deserve mercy based on their past.

Its a good thing and a nice development but shouldn't we be concerned about this?

I don't know what they(those that has surrendered) has in mind but if they are genuine, who will take care of them? should we allow jobless people who only knows how to handle guns into our society just like that?

The SE is still not able to contain the catastrophe from that prison break? We are still dealing with Yahoo boys menace, should we add repented BH to part of our problems?

In as much as I feel everyone deserves a second chance, we shouldn't do it at the detriment of our own lives

If you remember i told you guys before that this guys are tools used by Northern Fulani leaders and that the end of Nigerian insecurity is just matter of one phone call.

All the money Nigeria would have invested in developing Nigeria is being stolen in disguise for fighting terrorism and insecurity that was created by Fulani Leaders.

Now let me tell you what’s next, they have completed plans to recruit these guys into the Nigerian army and other forces just to fight all agitator for self determination in brutal way but this time as legal Nigerian forces and not as terrorists.

They have a plan, these people don't just surrender. If these people manage to get into the Nigerian army, which is quite possible, we will have the Afghanistan scenario on our hands.
