Ayindesegun10:Hi, no it is not a red flag, kindly submit both accounts and other proofs of employment of sponsor e.g. employment letter, promotion letter etc. The first account will show proof of income, second account will show availability of funds. All the best! |

MEDOLAB:hi, this will not work cos CBN has barred transfers above 100 dollars to foreign accounts. You need to use Form A Or have the funds in a Domiciliary account and use the dollar card for that account. |

Enjay316: Hello, you can use the MBS, account statements obtained a month before application or the month of application is valid. On the issue of Police report, my agent didn’t obtain any police report for me and my application was approved. On the issue of using your iPhone to scan, please see the tip below How to scan with an iPhone, Go to your notes app Click on new notes Click on the camera icon and you will see the option to scan, once you scan a document, you can resize it and save. The phone automatically saves it as PDF and you can email it to yourself or forward it via WhatsApp or any other app. Hope this helps. 1 Like |

Jioke1994:*I didn't do the police clearance *Since the business is not in anyway related to your course, you don't need to mention you will be returning to take care of it *3-1 month *All that you've listed for your uncle is not essential. He is not the applicant. If you have pictures of you two together, you should include it. |

Enjay316:1. It is ok 2. Not necessary at all. They will request for it if needed but that's highly unlikely. 3. Download camscanner . iPhone camera should also be able to deliver good results. |

Gurus in the house, please help me I'm about to apply for my Visa, I work for my brother's company ( he owns it) and he plans to sponsor me for a PGD course related to my job role, so I can come back to add more value to the company. The company's SOA carrys more weight than his personal account, so we plan on using the companys account and also pay my school fees through it. My questions and concerns are: 1. Should the company sponsor me as a third party sponsor since we plan on using the company's account and not my brothers personal account. 2. Will it be better that my brother states that hes the one sponsoring me, but through his company since I also work there, and then use the company's SOA (I just felt this might raise some eyebrows for the VO officer cos a business is a separate entity from a person. If he states that hes the one sponsoring me, then he should use his own account and not that of the company). 3. If we are using the company as a 3rd party sponsor, is the company meant to transfer the standard 10000 cad and 2nd semester fees to my account ( to show commitment as a third party) and also have a balance of 30000cad for the Nse route? Gurus please help, your responses will be highly appreciated. Thank you. |

Hello everyone. Special greetings to the gurus in the house. I apologise to anyone that deems my write is too long. Please I am in urgent need of advice, directions and assistance. Here is a background story. So I graduated with a CGPA of 4.02 from the department of petroleum engineering (B.Engr.). I just concluded my NYSC service this year 2021 and I have no work experience. I would love to further my education in Canada through P.G or masters degree program in a lucrative engineering field in which employment opportunities are not a difficult task. I also don't want to further my education strictly on the path of petroleum engineering. I have been able to secure my transcript from my school and have also gotten I verified by WES. *HERE ARE MY PROBLEMS* • I don't know what course to go after. • I don't know the schools that are still open for admission for 2022 academic year (preferably colleges). I was told that colleges are preferable if you are looking to try to gain experience but I don't know which colleges that can offer me that opportunities. Please any one who can help me out in anyway is highly appreciated. Please every advice and directions I can get would be helpful. Thank you all and God bless. 1 Like 1 Share |

Enjay316:1. Yes you can use a week old SOA 2. The police report is fairly relevant but not compulsory. 3. I'd advice you use a scanner because after all the compression you're going to do my friend, you'll want your files to look a little definitive. However, it doesn't stop you from using an iPhone if you wish as far it's vivid. |

Lekiboboe: Yah, i have it already. Nagode But which one is sponsorship declaration in the document, is that supposed to be there after the main typed letter of sponsorship? Is the declaration a statement for affidavit of support? 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Lekiboboe: 1:30am On Aug 16, 2021 |
emmalextemtop:Good. Barka da Zuwa Yes it is supposed to be there. SPONSORSHIP DECLARATION solidifies the Letter of sponsorship written by your sponsor (Father). It is different from affidavit of support. Affidavit of support is an entirely different document on its own. You are to get an Affidavit of support at a Court or Notary Public in your State. More details about that is in the link below & if you are based in Lagos, you would also find the contents in the link below useful as regards Affidavit of Support https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/179#98455585 |

Evergreen694:Hi honorable, Who told you that you don't have work experience?? so you know, Your 1-year Job experience at your PPA for NYSC is a job experience even if you were posted to a school to teach Your work experience as a Corp Member would come in handy in your Study Visa application cos it's a mandatory program Nigerian graduates are expected to go for after graduating and are assigned to jobs in a location that they are not originally from. Go through the contents in the two links below, you would see why your job at your PPA is a Job experience. https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/64#97741974 https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/343#103627078 For Masters, the Major Admission intake is usually FALL INTAKE (SEPTEMBER), this is also applicable to most PG. Cert Programs. There are also programs with January intakes but are very few. Do your research on the program of your choice to know the ones available for WINTER INTAKES (JANUARY). As regards Masters for your Academic Profile Sometimes last month, I read on Twitter that "the demand for crude oil is reducing in Canada, as electric/hybrid vehicles are replacing Gasoline vehicles gradually and this is reducing the relevance of Crude Oil in Canada to some extent. That being said, the post advised graduates (Bachelor's, Masters) of Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering to go for research-based Masters in research areas like - Energy and Sustainability - Renewable Energy - Bioenergy/Biofuel - Environmental Engineering - Pollution (Air, Water, Land) - Environmental Engineering - Greenhouse Gases (GHG) and lots more There are lots of Research Opportunities (usually Fully-funded in terms of scholarship) in the above Research Areas, so take your time and do serious research on the above research areas you know within yourself you would be potentially good at (good fit) for a masters degree, after doing that, you can start doing your due diligence ASAP against 2022. The contents in the link below is a detailed guide for you to go for a Research-Based masters in Canada. Relate the contents in the link below to your Proposed Research Areas for Masters and do the needful. https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/321#103487629 As regards College, Go through the contents in the two links below, you might likely find it useful based on your Academic Background https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/163#98327731 https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/165#98338935 If you eventually decide to go for College (PG.Cert), make sure you give cogent reasons on your SOP (for Visa Application) why you are going for a PG.Cert program in a College instead of a Masters degree program cos your good CGPA might be a concern to a Visa Officer on "why not a MASTERS DEGREE"? As regards Employment opportunities, which is lucrative or not, go to the LIVING IN CANADA THREAD to make enquiries. There are chances you would get based on experience advice from folks who are also in the same field as yours. Living in Canada https://www.nairaland.com/4933819/living-canada-life-canadian-immigrant/493 This above posts is just my own input, await more response from others so you can know the best decision to take 7 Likes 1 Share |
