His case is disturbing tbh. Not even a loan move in sight for now. Showed fine potentials in Slovakia but since he moved to Holland, he hasn't been given much of a chance. Injury also didn't help shaa. Kept him out of action for a long while when he first landed at Vitesse in 18/19. Since his recovery he has been used mainly as a cameo squad player which is not enough for a decent talent. We just have to keep watch and see. maidaboi: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Watford loanee Tom Dele-Bashiru has highlighted his key attributes ahead of a potential debut for Reading against Bristol City on Tuesday. The Nigeria U23 international was a non-playing substitute as the Royals defeated Preston North End 2-1 in a Championship clash on Saturday, August 14, two days after completing his move from the Hornets. Dele-Bashiru's season-long loan move to Reading makes sense as the central midfielder would have struggled to break into Watford's starting lineup in the new Premier League season after recovering from a long-term injury that required surgery. "I heard of the interest from Reading during the week, a few days before. Then the move happened really quickly," Dele-Bashiru told Reading's official website. "There was interest, and I was excited to be able to come here and play – because I know Reading play good football. "The manager has spoken to me about the way he wants to play – possession football and to enjoy the game. "I’m an attacking midfielder – I like to dribble with the ball, drive forward, create chances. And to chip in with a few goals as well!" New Reading number 19, Dele-Bashiru will compete with Super Eagles hopeful Ovie Ejaria for a place in the starting lineup. Ejaria has not been involved in Reading's last three matches due to a groin injury he suffered in pre-season and will be assessed before tomorrow's clash at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. |

Italian Serie A new boys Salernitana are on the brink of announcing the signing of Nigeria international Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo, according to various reports in the Italian media. Salernogranata.it is reporting that the Super Eagle has agreed personal terms with Salernitana and an official confirmation of his transfer to the Garnets is expected within 48 hours, adding that it is being delayed by only bureaucratic issues. His imminent move to Salernitana would bring an end to speculation surrounding his future which has dominated the back pages at home and abroad in the last four months or so. Simy will become the highest-paid player in the history of Salernitana, taking home one million euros (approximately N590 million in Nigerian currency) per season if bonuses are included. Crotone will receive a transfer fee of six million euros for agreeing to shred their contract with Simy a year before its expiration. The 29-year-old enjoyed a breakout season with Crotone in 2020-2021, scoring 20 goals in 38 games, but the Sharks were forced to sell their all-time top scorer after they were demoted to the second-tier of Italian football. |
