Your risk/reward ratio is 1:5 I guess?
I cut losses quicker and let winners run. And most times when I cut losses, it turns out to be the best decision.

I am not in any forex group sorry mate.
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 1:16pm On Aug 16, 2021
The majority of the groups are created for the creator's individual/personal benefits and not for your benefits; you join and end up paying/subscribing for one thing or the other OR the majority of them don't even trade live, you end up giving your cash to them to trade for you and blow-up.

Unfortunately, when those happen, they can either close the group or block you and we here can not fight for you or call them out here which then becomes dorime..... tongue

Looking to sell gold short term.
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 2:37pm On Aug 16, 2021
Trades update:
Gold currently running @ 266pips
GJ @ 85pips

This is why I laugh when I record losses grin [Trading psychology right?? grin]

I'm looking to enter GU by today's close as quoted below

GabsonFX:
Update on those trades: I took small portion of profit from gold cos I needed to take it back to D1 from H4; now I'm back to D1 trading gold, GJ and GU. This is where I'm @ at the moment.

Gold currently running 203.9pips
GJ @ 3.3pips

My plan on GU for Monday close is to re-short GU if Monday close is bearish, if otherwise, i.e bullish, I will check to see if a resistance is broken before longing it.

Happy weekend!

Now look at my plan for GU and watch those markups I made on H1 this monday morning, this H1 markups guide me on my trading decision on D1. Price was dancing within the bands since morning, and now pushed out of the band; Now, tell me how I will not re-short this by today's close.

Another thing I want to point out is: many traders, especially the less experienced, will see these moves especially the currently forming out of the band move, and jump into it right away --- NO, don't do that, when you do that, it means you are chasing price and any surge against you may wipe your account. Allow it to cool or relax, check again if it's within your parameters, then enter and hide your SL.

This is why I'm never rushing, despite all those big moves and despite the fact that price is now currently within my parameters on the GU and out of the band, I will still wait till market close and re-check...no matter what.

So there's big news coming midweek for GBP and USD on Tuesday. I don't know how much it will affect my open positions from last week but the schematics looks to favour USD so I'll have to be extra cautious with my positions as it may only be a pull back to collect more orders and we continue the journey to 1.198 for EU and 0.89 for usdchf.

Scenario 1 for GJ: price makes a run towards 150 and I'll buy back to 154.6** and I re-sell (this scenario would be most exciting cheesy)

Scenario 2: price makes a run for 154.6** first, then I'll enter a sell to 150 and forget about re-buying.

For USDCAD, only one thing I look for price to do for me on Tuesday..... Approach . 26830 and I'll act accordingly because we'd begin a journey to . 2180

it's a story, an interesting one.
Happy pippin' this week.

Gj has made her decision.... Scenario 1 it is cheesy. But as I've learned from Mr. Gabson, wait till confirmation before the ride

JPY currently one of the strongest currencies right now and sweet to trade with XXXJPY all selling over 100+ pips...

AUDJPY

USDJPY et all.

If the momentum would be sustained during London session is what I'd love to know because OTE for the pairs listed would give you lotta pips in your basket...

Boss na only me or that JPY and USD dey correlate?

Last week's loss of part of the profit I made taught me a lesson that's key.

Which is market structure.

Now, I know why you check H1 sometimes.

GU will sell. There's a break of structure and a retest.

Two things will happen to Gold next week.

1) it will retrace a bit to take out SL and continue to buy massively

Or,

2) It won't retrace at all. It will buy directly.

I will look for a good entry position on H4 with patience. Maximum SL will be 100 pips.

Gold will buy for most days of this week.

Still waiting for a proper entry with reduced risk.

After losing 16% of my equity (for my liveaccprep account),I tried to understand why I lost that large and here is what I understood;
1. Having a limited amount of pairs on the watchlist does not automatically mean no overtrading.

2. I traded with no objective amount to be risked per week

So this week, I decided to amend that and I decided to;

1. Pick only two pairs out of the five on my watchlist for every week.
2. I will risk at most 5%(i.e $10) every week.

The above simply means I have to select only high probability trades for every week. So for this week, I picked two ladies; EURUSD and USDCHF and although the setup played out today I shall hold them till they are exhausted as I'm a swing trader.
For next week, I have only USDCAD as high probability.
The plan to maximize my profit in this week's two trades are to add maximum of 3 positions on retracements.

I regret not sharing pictures for these setups as each time I post, the pictures hardly come out clearly on this forum, I wonder how Mr. Gabson does it

Have a wonderful weekend, y'all kiss

I didn't post my setup before I took my usdchf and EURUSD trades but tomorrow may give another opportunity for re-entry.
Considering my 5% per week MM rule, I have only an exposed risk of 3.6% leaving me with free 1.4% from last week and a fresh 5% for this week.

For tomorrow's trade, I do not want to see price close above the upper yellow line even with news impact. If that happens, I'll use the remaining 1.4% to add another position for usdchf and maybe Eurusd if the money is properly managed.

My "conservativeness" with my equity is because GBPJPY has acted faster than I imagined and I expect USDCAD to do as I have marked up. I don't like the idea of leaving more than 10% to the market in two weeks.

The USDCAD and GBPJPY would be my last trades till we have reached the promised land for all four pairs.

If usdchf closes above the yellow line and EURUSD closes below 1.17491, I'll close the trades and wait for better market conditions.

I'm taking the house through some live practical lessons - you see the events before and after they unfold.

Now relate the below quote to what actually happened to GU, if you had jumped into the surged bearish candle, your account would have suffered some good drawdown (float) and if your SL is damn close, then you would have been taken out; now see what is happening on GU - settled right? Now the best time to short, for me, I still wait a little bit more to see how it will eventually close today; for you that trade H4, you would definitely want to sell now for sure, SL very small, about 37pips............so interesting.

GabsonFX:
