You can submit the bond now and if you wish to submit it later when you are ready to leave, no problem. But make sure you submit.
I have not submit my own bond, but for sure, i will submit it before i leave.

They will surely ask for it. When i went to collect my award and proof of funding letters, the man that gave me asked if i have submitted my bond form, i told him no. He said i must submit it before i travel overseas.

Your are not collecting those letters on induction day,even if the induction is not virtual because to get those letters, your admission letter is required. But during our own induction (physical), those that were able to present their admission letter got those letters after few days.

Yes! But if you are unable to go yourself, you can send someone (preferably Scholar, but someone told me that non-scholar can also help to collect it). You will need to give authorization letter to the person.
In the authorization letter,state your name, PTDF ID, PTDF Ref number, and the name of the person you grant permission to collect your letters for you.
The bearer of the letter must go to PTDF office with his/her ID card.
Remember to sign the authorization letter.

Yes, I was awarded in 2019. I have a 2'1 degree but had all the Awards needed but no publications. My Friend that has 2'1 was equally awarded for 2020, he has a lots of publications and membership of professional bodies.

Important things you can work on:

Get publications, professional membership in association relevant to your background, find a vivid way to precisely link your intended study to finding solutions to the oil and gas sector (I detailed how my intended study can help improve pipeline network installation and prevent pipeline bursting hazards like the one that happened some weeks before the interview).


Important things that you can't change:

Your undergraduate degree class will be graded, your O level result in the 5 core subjects will be graded, academic awards during undergraduate studies will be graded.

Luck factor:

I remember during my interview, one of the panelists insisted that they should count my A1 (6 points) in geography as a core subject and remove my B3 (4 points) in Biology. That Geography is more related to Geomechanics Engineering than Biology. That's extra two points, and in a competitive scholarship like this, it goes a long way.
