Nnamdi Kanu: IPOB told sit-at-home order affects Igbos more than Buhari, stops investors

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has again been told the consequences of its sit-at-home order.

IPOB was told that the sit-at-home order affects the economy of the Southeast and not that of President Muhammadu Buhari or the Federal Government.

The separatist group had initially initiated the sit-at-home order some years ago to enforce its push for the actualization of Biafra.

But, with the rearrest of IPOB’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu, the group had issued the order to push for his release.

IPOB had ordered people of the Southeast and those sympathetic to the Biafra course to sit at home every Monday.

After the first Monday sit-at-home which recorded massive compliance, the group adjusted the order.

IPOB’s Directorate of State said the sit-at-home would now be observed every time Kanu is expected to appear in court.

However, a former National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu warned of the dangers of complying with the directive.

Speaking with DAILY POST, Ibegbu urged IPOB to seek alternative means of agitation.

According to Ibegbu, the sit-at-home order was chasing potential investors away from the Southeast.

Ibegbu said: “It has a moral force but is detrimental to our economy. It will quell investments in Igboland, other means should be sought to achieve the same objective. It does not affect Buhari or the Federal Government.”

Ah do man do body grin.

Ipob should keep on punishing the poor eastern masses by depriving them of means to feed.

If they really want their leader release they should be bold enough and besieged government houses and Secretariat, disrupt all means of government revenue and conduct series of campaign..

Flexing power on the fragile masses is a coward act

As usual @juliusmalema must jump on the thread to spew thrash, nobody saw him on the thread of Nigerian politician who said that Taliban taking over Afghanistan is a win win nor did he react to the reintegration of Boko bandits into the society by the military

Always waiting for Biafran news to masturbate on and earn your 30k stipend

Biafra is the reason Nigeria is not developing

It's Biafran ESN that the Nigerian army are reintegrating into the society in the North

The sit at home proposed in the South East will truly harm the economy at the present moment but Igbos are stubborn entrepreneurs that will bounce back even stronger

After the Civil War in 1960's which was totally fought in the eastern terrain, they have massively redeveloped the area beyond expectation and will also replicate that even now

All the Igbos want is to not share the same country with these extremists to avoid experiencing what we're now sewing in Afghanistan

Prevention is better than cure

Don't forget that there will be a massive Oduduwa Republic/ Biafra protest at UN summit in Netherlands come September 15/16 2021 to intensify the call for memorandum in Southern Nigeria

The fight for self determination won't stop until the aim is actualized

Affect federal government, but very minimal compare to south easterners .

With the look of things, I think Igbo will still wait for additional 16years

Nevertheless, being a president doesn't guaranteed good living, even security for the people where the president comes from.

Depriving people of their source of income and livelihood doesn't sound well to me at alllllllllll..

Make IPOB take am easy because they may likely lose the little respect they have left if they don't trend carefully..

Apart from sit at home that doesn't affect Buhari which other things that do affect him, just name them, so I don't see sit at home as something planned to affect Buhari but it's just like when you flog a child and he will cry soteeee a sympathizer will come or he cried into himself a headache and body pain then quietly lie down on the sick bed at the mercy of the one that beat him.

Guys, when you travel a lil bit, you will understand the failure that is Nigeria and their jobless youths.

Don't go and fight for yourselves like sane youths all over the world are doing, stay put on nairaland following every IPOB news
