Facts to remember: The OC duo A Super Eagles attack with Osimhen and Chukwueze on the pitch at the same time always produce goals. We are talking 7 games of these two playing together and the Super Eagles never failing to score including games vs Brazil and Ukraine. The only time this did not happen was on Chukwueze's debut for the Super Eagles vs Uganda in Delta state. Easy to remember. That was also Osimhen's 2nd official cap. There is an effect both have on our attacking plays when they are on the pitch at the same time. Goals are inevitable. We also create the most chances with both on the pitch at the same time. Hope this continues.... Update: 1. Chukwueze still working his way back to top shape 2. Osimhen getting set for the new Serie A season. 4 Likes 1 Share

TheSuperNerd:there is where you all gets it wrong when ever I jump into Nwakali's case. Bro to be honest Nwakali is yet to do anything tangible to be mentioned as an option in our midfield positions. He improved a whole lot last season in laliga 2 alcoron but is that enough to deserve a mention? Dude to me down the pecking order in our midfield option. He is no where close the below mentioned options we can boast of in the middle of the park Wildred ndidi Etebo peter Joe aribo Frank onyeka Alhassan yusuf Alex iwobi Also we have an ex u20 midfielder balling well in Belgium with gent and raphael nwadike who was promoted by Midtjylland to replace onyeka already doing decently well for the Danish champions in the league and in UCL qualifiers so far Then in a scenario where the the likes of olise and Ugochukwu re cleared to play for us the competition becomes more stiff for him. I am not writing him off completely but he has to work on his progress last season to deserve a mention if possible make the leap to the Spanish top flight with Huesca. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Lol.... honestly, didn't see it coming as well as Villarreal do boast close to five Wingers or so. Anyway, it depends on how Emery plans to utilise him. Time will tell. andrew444: 1 Like |

And that is why I keep saying to keep an eye on his showings this season because he needs to continue showing that consistency he displayed last season at Alcorcón. Lad did really good but that has been his only good season since his first Pro season at MVV Maastricht. Every other season after that including his return to Maastricht was below average until he found his feet again at Alcorcón and being a key player as they survived Relegation. Also, of the Midfield options you listed, the only true Midfield dictators there are Alhassan Yusuf (who is even yet to be capped), and maybe an Iwobi (who is more of an AM and winger). Aribo is no Midfield dictator. Same with Onyeka. Same with Etebo. They all bring their different qualities from a high level nonetheless. Ndidi..... the most elite midfielder we have. But he also is no Midfield dictator. He can get forward a few times and deliver a couple of forward passes and line breaking deliveries but he is much more a CDM than a line breaking Midfield orchestrator. This is the only reason why Nwakali keeps getting mentioned. He brings something different alongside Alhassan. But yes, he needs to do more. Hope you see where I come from. On one hand, I say he needs to show more consistency and do more to earn his call but the other hand, I also admit to him having a genuine quality we need in the middle: Excellent ball playing Midfield lieutenants. charlesemeka85: 5 Likes 1 Share |

chrisooblog:the way the guy is hyped here you will think he is the 2nd coming of pirlo or Toni kroos. It's high time we stop living on the past and say things the way they re currently. He really need to get off social media and work hard to reach his potentials. Even playing in the Spanish 2nd tier is one thing that will work against him with regards to a call up to the Snr national team (well in 9ja anytin is possible cus our politicians wey full our football haus no dey use egunje play ) 1 Like |

And explain to me why you have always been okay with Ejaria being among our midfield options despite him balling in the Championship while you want Nwakali to first take Huesca to La Liga before we give him a mention here. Is that not hypocritical? charlesemeka85: 4 Likes 1 Share |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 2:06pm On Aug 18, 2021 |
Mister man. Nwakali is not hyped here. It is facts being put on the table. I have dropped his stats from last season here and it shows how improved he is now even from a defensive standpoint. But you won't see that one. Was it not you who said you were not even sure if he will get game time for Huesca when La liga smartbank begins? Yet he played their first game. He was even made captain in their last Preseason game. But all you do is speak from past knowledge of the lad. How many games of his did you you watch last season? How many? charlesemeka85: 3 Likes 1 Share |

TheSuperNerd:midfield dictator or no midfield dictator Nwakali still hv a lot to do. Midfield dictator wey not fit play regularly for Huesca against the big bois in Spanish league is that one dictator? Abi because him na dictator for alcoron which is one of the worst teams in the league last season made him to deserve a mention for such role in the national team? A lot of national teams lack dictators and midfield general buh they still play as a unit to win games 3 Likes |

You keep exposing your football knowledge deficiencies when you keep playing down what Nwakali achieved at Alcorcón. Yes, they were the worst team in the league when Nwakali joined them and that is enough for him to have even not done much to save them but guess what?? He still did enough to take them out of Relegation. When Nwakali joined Alcorcón he changed their fortunes via his midfield displays. He gave them a pattern.... he became their inspired signing so much that it got La Liga Smartbank journos and observers talking up the lad. Check this out... As at April 17, 2021: ▶️Alcorcon BEFORE Nwakali: -23 matches - 5 WINS -13 losses - 5 draws - 0.9 points per game ▶️Alcorcon WITH Nwakali: -12 matches -5 WINS -4 losses -3 draws -1.5 points per game With time, I could even show a more detailed analysis of how Nwakali joining Alcorcón took them from bottom to above Relegation. He did really good and that is not mentioned enough because you just want to play it down out of hate you have always had for the lad. Simple. And also, no one is calling for a first team shirt for the lad in the Super Eagles. I am saying he deserves a chance judging only by the different quality he brings as a ball playing Midfielder and orchestrator which is something we lack in the middle. He and Alhassan are the most available answers right now in the CM role. We don't even know what's up with the delay for Olise for AM but thanks goodness we still have Iwobi. Plus Aribo can try fill in there if need be even though I prefer his box to box energy and knack for arriving late in the box from midfield to bag a few. charlesemeka85: 2 Likes 1 Share |

andrew444: But showing his stats from last season which contradicts some of their assertions on Nwakali being a lazy player or one not worthy to be mentioned as I read several pages ago is not hype. It is setting the records straight. The emeka you speak for does not even watch nwakali and so cannot possibly have an informed opinion on the lad at this point. 7 Likes 1 Share

Point is you used to. So nothing changes. Let me ask you sef.... A player joins the worst team in a league. A team condemned to go down. A team primed for Relegation and instead of going down, their fortunes change majorly thanks to this player with his contributions helping them do what they couldn't fathom at the beginning and halfway through the season. Is such an impact of no significance? In fact... I have a better question. Which one is harder to do.... Joining the best team in the league and winning titles. Or Joining the worst team in the league and helping them survive Relegation? Oya answer.... let us see that football knowledge of yours on display. charlesemeka85: 2 Likes 1 Share |
