I called Stanbicibtc stockbroker I was told that they can't help to buy from primary market... That I can only buy from secondary market... And is base on availability... I may not get choice bond.

Please how can I buy from primary market with less than N50m.

I missed yesterday bond just because I was unable write information on time.

Please me... So I can buy next month.

Thanks sir

I buy through my bank. Find out about the secondary market offers, due to demand and supply it is possible to get better yield in the secondary market.

What other assets or investments are you buying, I always preach diversification and steady cash flow from your investments or assets

Next Auction date is Wednesday 25th August 2021.
As at the last auction 1year rate was 7.35%

If you wish to participate, you must be at your bank latest on Tuesday 24th August 2021 before 10am to apply.

At the current rate, MMF is a better option than tbills. Just my opinion.

Currently, Abacus money market fund managed by investment one is 7.86% as at yesterday and it's upward looking.

By nature of fund no investor loses principal invested in mmf. The underlying assets of mmf is tbills and commercial paper basically.

Another advantage of mmf is that you can redeem your funds without penalty after 30 days. You can also top up with any amount at any interval.

Note: You don't need cash to open Abacus money market fund account. It's free.

Why I will prefer MMF at the current rate to one year Tbills.

If you are following the low risk investment vehicles of recent particurly Tbills and money market fund MMF you will notice it's looking brighter compare to last year.

Some reasons why I will prefer mmf are:

You can start MMF with much lower amount compare to Tbills. With 1,000 you can start investing in Abacus MMF. The least for TBills is 100k.

When rate increases it will not affect already invested funds in Tbills but it does with MMF

You can't top up with Tbills. Top up is very possible with MMF even if you want daily top up.

Terminating before tenor expiration in Tbills comes with penalties. For MMF after just 30 days exit is without penalties.

MMF has other instruments like commercial papers that contributes to its rate.

You can easily automate reinvestment of interest in MMF ie taking advantage of the power of compound interest.

It's the investor that determines MMF tenor hence you can hold MMF as long as you wish no restrictions, Tbills particularly primary auction has fixed tenors 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.

Right now mmf rates is on the rise.

The above are my opinions. Do your due diligence.

First let me point out clearly that MMF is the best you can do if you are risk averse and if you want to have access to your money any time and still enjoy good rate.

Abacus money market fund as the name implies is a MMF.

Principal underlying asset is treasury bills and commercial papers hence there is little or no risk at all. You can only lose money if the country no longer exist.

The interest is daily valued. It's currently 7.86% and it's upward looking base on economic realities right now. Interest can't be fixed because of market forces on Tbills but be rest assured there will always be interest and your capital is guaranteed.

If you are conservative with low risk appetite then Abacus mmf is best for you.

You earn interest daily but it's paid every quarter on the first day of the next quarter ie Jan 1st, April 1st, July 1st, Oct. 1st. You can also give instruction for your interest to be reinvested (compounding) which will be done automatically on those days as mentioned earlier. The one for second quarter was done July 1st. The 3rd quarter interest will be paid/reinvested Oct. 1st.

Your capital and interest is guaranteed.

minimum holding period is 30days and initial deposit from 1,000.

Parties to the fund:

Fund manager - investment one
Trustees: United capital trustees ltd.
custodian: citibank
regulator: SEC

You can do everything online- register and monitor your account.

Depositing money is not restricted it can be any amount from 1,000 and at any interval without a specific pattern.
Whenever you invest in the fund, your interest is prorated to cover the period of your investment before the payment date.
That means if you register and invest say today 21st August 2021 you will be paid interest for 21st to 30th of September for that period and continues till another payment date.

You can also reach me with the number on my signature if you need more.

The account number that is requested is the account that you can redeem your fund into or the account that your interest will be paid into. Your account can be funded from any account.

Hi, welcome.. lots of discussion have been done about it in the past. The general known to convert was by buying directly from Bureau De Change (BDC). However, recently the CBN have stopped the supply to BDCs and instead ask people to buy from bank instead. The headache there now is that unlike BDC where you can just go and buy what you want without question, the will restrict customers to an amount. You would also follow a process before buying/converting.

With what was discussed here in recent past and the present economic situation, just having your funds in USD is enough to beat inflation and devaluation. The only worry would be how to keep it safe if it is in your custody. That said, you can also invest it in FG Euro Bond if it is upto the minimum required or Euro Bond Funds with asset managers to increase it.

These are just the basics...

Thank You for this.

Is the FG Euro bonds the only and best way to attain what I want. I.e saving dollars in cases of naira devaluation

UPDATE

After intense research, I got a link to verify the loan terms and the amount disbursed was exactly 750k.

Below is the image.( I erased all personal details)
In this case I will advise you keep the money, invest it properly and make gains for yourself . But your offer letter didn't state the tenor and interest rate.

How so? Kuda doesn't allow transactions more than 1 million and their overdrafts are less than 500k. Although I think they will eventually raise more capital and become a commercial bank.
