[1] Muhammad never started with violence!
Remember i too was a Muslim before my conversion so i knew that it was after lots and lots of attacks on the Muslims Muhammad got a revelation to fight back. So it wasn't that Muhammad was asked to go and dominate any city but to fight back those enemies who were determined to kill him!

The SWORD Jesus meant is God's word known today as "Bible" {Ephesians 6:17} this spiritual weapon doesn't affect the physical bodies but our figurative hearts {Hebrews 4:12} that's why Jesus said he didn't came for peace because whenever the truth of God's word began affecting or controlling someone Satan's system of rule will fail.
