Hello Everyone ,
A Girl Showed up Claiming to be a Daughter of a Deceased man ,The same Girl have lost Her Mother too ,She is asking for her own share of the Late man's Property .

The man died intestate meaning no Will.

The First born of the Deceased is asking a Prove from the Girl...

Without any Sentiments ,How can someone Proves that he or she is a Child of a Deceased ?

A DNA test should be able to prove a certain degree of relationship.

Yes. The uncles or stepbrothers can be used as the reference sample.

DNA might fail in this instance, even though it ought to be the best means of proof in this regard, assuming that the deceased did not have with any of his living offspring a matching one before his death. This is so because, if before his death, he did not do a DNA test with the assumed firstborn, or with all of his assumed known children, that turned out positively, then there is a possibility that the assumed firstborn might actually not be his biological child, while the girl might be instead. So, in the event that the assumed firstborn isn't the deceased biological child, it means that his DNA will not match with that of the girl, and by extension, will make it impossible for the girl to substantiate her claim

How come she showed up only after the man died?
Even if she’s able to prove she’s the deceased daughter, can she inherit anything having never been acknowledged by the deceased?

No! Actually, she wasnt acknowledged by the deceased and so not officially a member of the family even if DNA proves she is. So let her carry her wahala go front, she isn't entitled to anything. Share kor, table ni.
