A week after receiving correspondence letter from ircc still no news, I keep sending webforms and emails. School resuming 2 weeks plus. I really pray a positive news comes. Mps I contacted said they can only help people presently in their province.
I know God would bring a positive response.
Just relax okay. Correspondence Letter is a Final step in the journey. The trick is, if you get correspondence letter and it takes more than 48days( without holidays) and you haven't got any other letter, then the letter that will come later must be PPR. There is usually no delay whatsoever in posting Refusal. So, go and start your Preparations.

Yes, you can begin your studies online while you await IRCC decision. It will not affect your PGWP application. You are qualified for PGWP even when you complete the fall semester outside Canada. If someone is denied, he is still qualified for PGWP if his next application is approved after completing one semester outside Canada. The period you spent studying online outside Canada will count towards your PGWP from the day you started studying after you submitted your first application. I hope you find my advice useful. What God cannot do does not exist.

Thanks for this clarification sir/ma, I think I've once mis-interpreted this to someone in the time past. But I think the grace to do that ends this year, unless it's extended, but I doubt it because so many institutions have resumed in-person classes.

Is GIC really important? Tot it was a requirement for SDS for which Nigeria is not among. Our own is NSE and GIC is not part of the requirement. But if one has the funds readily available, then it's not a bad idea.

Av been away for some time gathering all relevant documents. what is left for me now is my GIC certificate. you guyz wont believe they have not still sent it.CIBC don dey turn to IRCC. av been on this whole process 4 two weeks now.paid my money last week still, no certificate yet.they are not even replying my emails sef.shud I b worried ?. Good morning everyone
please can someone give me a the step by step guide on how to cancel/withdraw an application on IRCC portal.
And also i need advise to know if there are negative effects this would have in future incase i want to reapply. Thanks

Better option don dey be that o, correct.

You can withdraw your application by raising a webform to that effect and it wont have any adverse effect in the future

LANDING GIST

My PPR came Apr 22. I did my first semester online and rounded up end of June. My next semester is Fall, September 1st. I travelled on July 19th via Ethiopian Airlines. I thank God for journey mercies.

At the Nigerian airport, I went with 2bags weighing a little over 23kg, my carryon bag and bag pack. I practically settled every airport personnel that I came in contact with N200 each, lol (I made sure I had plenty change). My sister accompanied me to the airport and I had to settle the police guy at the door N500 to allow my sister in (thank God she followed me in cuz she had to help me go and be making photocopies). Please ensure you go to the airport with photocopies of ur passport data page, 2 copies of your covid test result and a copy of your vaccination card (front and back).

I was asked to declare my bag( a ghana-must-go) bag for food (to reduce weight as most luggage already weigh so much even without having anything in it). I paid N2,000 for that.

Moving on to another counter, I was asked to provide my admission letter, enrollment letter, ArriveCAN, proof of school fees payment, my covid test results and vaccination card with their copies. The lady took a picture of everything and asked me to wait until they get approval that I can fly. Shortly after, approval was given and I was cleared to leave. I settled the immigration officers as well and the rest was history. I boarded my flight at 1 and we took off by 2pm. The food was good but small, I took curry meat sauce as the lady that sat beside me said the chicken sauce wasn't too good.

I arrived Toronto and we went through immigration were I was asked for the purpose of why I was here, my admission letter, enrollment letter, ARRIVECAN, vaccination card, school payment receipt, transcript and all what they asked for in Nigeria. I was asked when my study will be concluded and after all questions were answered, the immigration officer said that she will include an extra 3 months to my study permit to allow me apply for my PGWP, my work Authorization was also included in the study permit. It was a smooth and favourable journey to the glory of God Almighty.

Congrats to all those who just got PPR and I wish all PPR hopefuls the very best. May Canada favour us all. AMEN!!!

I forgot to add that I received an arrival covid test kit to use and test myself when I get to my final destination which was Alberta. When I got to my final destination, I registered online for the test and was directed to a video call where an online doctor observed me as I did the covid test on myself. Thereafter, I put the sample in the bag that was provided and left it in front of my house. They came to pick it up. Result came out negative after 2 days.

Also note that I did my covid test at afriglobal 24hours before my trip as the result takes about 24hours to come out and it cost N50,400 plus interswitch charges that brought it close to almost N52k in total. . Here is the link to book appointment and pay online for your covid test
http://Bookings.afriglobalmedicare.com

Remember to print 2 copies of your covid test result before travelling.

Hope this helps.
Which vaccination card abeg? Me I never collect vaccine oh.

Pls house! I am so worried right now!
Applied May 15
Done my Biometrics May 29
Done upfront July 23
Till now, not even heard anything from them, my eligibility review has not even started. I’m so worried right now.

I’m suppose to resume at CBU, Novascotia for this September(coolintake.
Can anyone pls give me clue on what’s going on? Pls!

So many people are rocking in this same boat, it's quite unfortunate though but there's nothing much man pikin fit do.

Best bet is to defer once your resumption is getting close but if you've got quite a strong faith, you can start your studies online.

Should starting online be considered, then you'll need to familiarize yourself with the school's policy and weigh your options out.

It will end in praise

Please after rejection can I change my sponsor for reapplication?

Yes you can and according to the gurus, sponsorship is considered easier when it comes from an immediate family member: parents , siblings and spouse.

Others can sponsor you though, but you'll need more convincing proof.

I even got admitted to CBU, NOVA scotia. And it is stated in my admission letter that it covers from fall September, till may3 2021, They say the admission will automatically defer if I didn’t get my SP on time. I don’t juT know if I should still go ahead to apply for deferment.

Any suggestions from the gurus in the house will be highly appreciated. Thank you

Hi there,

Do you have up to 3 years work experience? If yes, look into the express entry route to becoming a permanent resident. There is a thread here on Nairaland. The federal skilled workers thread.

All the best

Yes she can.

Age is no barrier to education in Canada.

Based on her age, many things would have to be looked at , cos the study visa application of a 43 year old , married applicant , with kids would be quite different from the study visa application of a 23-29 years old , unmarried applicant. In a nutshell, no two application is the same.

It's advisable that when she gets the admission for a PG.Cert Program, she should try get across to any of the gurus when she wants to apply for her Study Visa Application and also ask lots of questions here on the platform.

Good luck!!!
