By the way, Arteta, Speaking at his pre-Chelsea press conference today, he said, “We will see where we finish with the money that we have spent and what we have done in the last few year. Who are the 7 players that left the club? (David Luiz, Joe Willock, Mat Ryan, Dani Ceballos, Matteo Guendouzi, William Saliba, Dinos Mavropanos) or he talking about the likes Willian that have to go? And does the bold means we have closed market? |

ObaIgwe1:All things being equal,(here implying that Arteta's head doesn't reboot) if Partey is fit, none of our new signings will be in the first team. That's apart from Odegaard, but he was here last season. The squad may be better in terms of balance (a backup LB), but the team is not really stronger as we have only done like for like replacements- Lokonga for Ceballos, White for Luiz, Ramsdale for Ryan. To strengthen the team, we need to do one more big signing. Either we get a better striker to displace Aubameyang, a better CM to displace Xhaka, etc. My concern is that we have spent 129m, which I believe is enough to improve the quality of the team. 3 Likes |

ObaIgwe1:I have earlier expressed the fear (same did Roland17) that had we not sold Willock we would not have done the Odegaard deal. At this point we would be lucky to have more signings. Aoaur is available for less than 20m now. Tottenham is interested. This is a player we courted last summer, has our interest changed? I think the failure to sell off Xhaka has left us handicapped in that CM position. |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by ObaIgwe1: 8:29pm On Aug 20, 2021 |
Spy360: I doubt there is any plan to buy Aoaur or any more player.... Except maybe if Laca leaves. Unfortunately we are not getting buyers for our players...Some might still go on loan though. When Arteta was asked if there would be more signings. he said yes but his focus was on outgoings. His answer exactly: “There’s still 11 days to go, and we still have things to do, there are going to be players at the moment with the way the squad is set up that are going to be difficult to find game time, so there are things to be done.” So I think we should just wish ourselves goodluck with what we have. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Roland17(m): 11:31am On Aug 22, 2021 |
Jodera: It would depend on his mentality. His biggest downfall recently has been his mentality during the week going into match day. If he approaches today with the right mentality he will be unstoppable.. He has missed some sitters and has looked lost for the most part since last season but we all know this man can be a beast in front of goal.. |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by ObaIgwe1: 11:44am On Aug 22, 2021 |
Roland17: You are right. I just hope he turns up and go back to what we know him for. As for me, I have zeroed my mind not to expect anything till after the int break like iamoyindamola. But if 1 or 2 points come before then, good! But Arteta judgement starts then. |

Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Roland17(m): 11:48am On Aug 22, 2021 |
ObaIgwe1: Unlike many of you, I am not interested in giving Arteta any more opportunities. He has no business coaching a team like Arsenal and should have been gone after the Europa loss last season! If we are 9 points off the mark by the end of City game then we can forget top 6/7 because the other contending teams have started strong. |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Roland17(m): 12:02pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Mechanic Kolasinac has agreed to terminate his contract with Arsenal. He will be joining Fenerbahce. |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by ObaIgwe1: 12:07pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Roland17: I agree Arteta has no business being here, but while he remains let's hope for the best, if his best is not good enough then we see him off. If our losses and draws are minimal afterwards, we can still make top 6. Other teams will still drop points after all the initial gra gra. Brentford only got a draw yesterday after many predicted the will run over palace cos they beat us |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by ObaIgwe1: 12:09pm On Aug 22, 2021 |

Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Jodera: 12:11pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Roland17:True, his mentality is another thing. I just needed an experienced Cf upfront reason why I want either laca or auba to be at least available. Sha na just one-eye I go take watch this Chelsea game |

We need to get rid of bellerin asap using chambers as RB is pure stupidity |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Jodera: 1:05pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
iamoyindamola:it's better we use Amn as Rb over Chambers. But then Arteta knows best |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Roland17(m): 1:15pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Jodera: Two players I see as dark horses on our roster that can offer us better than we have if they change their mindset. AMN: He believes he is a midfielder and does not want to be used as a RB. At this time and based on what we have seen, he is a better option in comparison to Chambers and Bellerin. Torreira: I am a firm believer in Torreira's ability under the right coaching and system. If he puts his mind to it, Torreira can fight for a place in that midfield and boy would he be a combination with T. Partey! Sadly, he has struggled to adapt and shouldn't have left Italy in the first place. He desperately wants to leave England. |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by iamoyindamola(m): 1:28pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Jodera:That stupid amn way no get sense He should be the one cementing the RB if only he get sense, but he was running after midfield Now both midfield and RB he won't play, his cup is filled already |
