MrAAA2:

You cannot open a different account for that, it's like opening an account for your school.
Transfer the money out to a Sterling account and fill the Form A. It takes about a week.

Thanks very much

Please house, who has an idea on how I can get these two documents. I’m applying for a spouse visa.

 2 fully filled questionnaires concerning the document verification process
 2 signed declarations according to Section 54 Paragraph 2 No 8 of the German Alien’s Law

I suggest you check the link for family re-union.

Do I need to apply for a new AD if my study date has started? Considering the 1 year waiting time

If you've decided to have patience and are ready to move to Germany through studies,i suggest you don't cancel and re-book.
If you rebook,it means the waiting period would be elongated the more than beforehand.
I suggest you leave it.
If your school goes on online, please, join them in whatever they do.
Before you know it,you'd be invited for an interview.
All the best.

Go to sterling Bank and tell them it is for blocked account. If the staff doesn't understand tell them to call their hq in Lagos to confirm. Tell them your friends have done it successfully with Sterling Bank.

I did mine on Monday(this week) and the payment was debited on Tuesday morning. In short, Fintiba gave me my blocking details on Thursday. It was so fast, e shock me sef.

Please use Sterling Bank. I had to open a new account with them but it was worth it.
Brother I think the best way to go for this is to look for someone outside the Zoo who can transfer money to your block Ac and you give the person cash in Naira only trusted person nah. Good Luck

Hello guys

I seriously need assistance! If you have done blocking through a Nigerian bank or you know someone who did and the person will be willing to guide, kindly respond.

From this platform, I learnt that Sterling and Access were the best plug. But since May, 2021 I have moved from Sterling to Access and Keystone bank trying to block without success. The first two told me after I contacted them a little after a month of submission of Form A and relevant documents that the transaction was declined because it is a blocked account. Access bank went further to request that I provide a document from my school. The school obliged and sent a document acknowledging the fintiba account I opened. They added that it's a prerequisite for Visa application but this changed nothing. Keystone on the other hand gave me false hope when they debited me on Wednesday only to call yesterday morning to say that they cannot pay into the account since my name is the beneficiary's name. They also said that I wrote 'study fee' on the Form A while the money was for upkeep. And they would prefer I provide an account whose beneficiary's name will reflect the name of the school. A friend who works at the bank made further inquiries and got back to me to cancel study fee and write upkeep. Now I discussed this with the manager of the branch but she insisted that she's not processing upkeep with form A before I cause her to lose her job.

At this point, I am confused and I don't know what to think or do. Am I making a mistake in the filling of the form? Can I actually have an account with Fintiba that can combine the name of the school I am going to and my name as the beneficiary's name? Is there a change in bank policy against funding of German blocking with form A?

Please anyone with useful information should help me. I trust you will be helping some others sooner than later.

Apologies for the lengthy write-up. God bless!

Call fintinba and explain to them, maybe they can help with name of thee account in anyway....they are very helpful

Nobody is talking about continuous semester fees knowing quite well no dates in view. Next month is Winter 2021. I bet some people have paid 3 or more semester fees without writing exams.

We don’t even know if the embassy will give visas to students who take semester breaks. cos it’s better to focus somewhere else.

If we can find out this. It will make a lot of sense to go on semester breaks that’s if Germany is a must. By next year, e suppose don clear.

Hi everyone,

It's been a minute since I have logged in here. Phew! My 3.5-year journey to get a bachelor's degree is coming to an end in a couple of months smiley

I will be moving on to the next phase of my life and wanted to drop some helpful tips for anyone who may be interested. I have read how stringent the German embassy has become in trying to curb the number of students leaving for Germany but I think I may be able to give some helpful tips.

I will be done with my bachelor's degree in a couple of months and will be starting a dual-master program later in the year. The university is a private university so tuition fees must be paid. However, it will be a job-integrated program which means that you will also work and be paid for the entire duration of the program. The company is obliged to pay you a salary and also pay about 80% of the tuition fees and you will only have to pay a small amount to balance it which can be taken from the salary you earn.

This could be useful in bumping you from a Category B to Category A because the amount that is paid to you will be given to you in form of a scholarship and you can present that to the embassy. The university does not follow the regular German rules for grading and admission so no Uni-assist needed, no minimum GPA, no English test, and many others. However, note that what the university absolutely requires is some form of previous work experience prior to applying. If you have no work experience, I strongly do not recommend you applying because I am highly certain you will be rejected. I got in because I have been in working student positions since I arrived in Germany 3 years ago, but I do not think you need a lot of work experience to qualify. Also, note that they have a rigorous admission process and make sure they admit only the top 20% of applicants.

If you pass the interview process, you will then be admitted to their talent pool where they have many job offers from various companies in various fields that you can apply for. Once you apply and are interviewed by the prospective company and then offered a position, then you can use that to apply for a visa, stating that you have a scholarship. Also note that most positions advertised require German but you could be lucky to see job positions that do not require German like I got.

They have an International Management program and a double degree for a master's/MBA (which is what I applied for and was admitted).

If this sounds interesting to you, I invite you to check the school website here: https://sibe-edu.com/programs/

I wish you all very good success and hope your dreams of seeking a better life come to fruition. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email.

Adaobi.

Please, I need your advice guys.
I dropped out of the university  few years ago, so the only certificate I have is Neco obtained in 2008. I'm looking to start afresh in Germany and I'm  30 year old.
Can my Neco result be accepted for Bsc or how can I go about it?
Thanks
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by OdogwuEkeke(m): 11:35am On Aug 25, 2021
I honestly think you should consider somewhere else as your plan A. Getting an appointment date takes a year and you are not even sure you will get a visa after the interview. I am not discouraging you but this is the current reality. Poland or anywhere else

Hi man, if you don't mind and if the Form A process doesn't pull through, I can connect you to a very trusted and legit guy that helped me with my blocked account of recent. The equivalent euros reflected in my Fintiba in no less than 48hours after I transferred the Naira to the guy at the agreed rate

Thank you Adisa. I will go to Sterling again. God bless you

Thank you very much for your assistance, Adisa.

Please, let us be properly guided and save some energy. Banks still fund fintiba account with form A at a rate you cannot get from anyone (black market or Agents in Germany).

Like my friend Adisa told me, 'bankers don't like going away from routine and most times it is easier for them to tell you straight up that the funding cannot fly'. Persist and suggest politely that they call head office and enquire because your friend just did same thing.

The commonest challenge we usually have with the application is that the fintiba document carries your name as the beneficiary's name. To circumvent this, go through the fintiba app and use fintiba transfer. Follow the prompt with 'recommended transferwire' and get a transfermate document at the end. At this point, you will see that you are required to pay in dollars and the beneficiary's name is no more your name.

I eventually paid through Keystone bank and surprisingly, with the fintiba document. All I was asked to do was to change study fee I wrote as purpose of payment on my form A to upkeep.

I hope this helps someone.
