bivoprad: Congratulations on your visa and I hope you cleared your exam. I have heard of this day 5 test to release but I observed that you stated a total of 8 days for the trip. Does that mean one can leave the UK before 10 days if day 2,5 and 8 covid tests return normal? Please, any other person can also chip in 1 Like 1 Share |

Please, i need help. Am applying for my wife and two kids, though she's unemployed and she stays at home to take care of the kids ages 2 and 3. I usually send money to her account for foodstuff and upkeep. **Should I categorise this money as allowance considering the fact that most times it fluctuates and she spend them all. **Will I use the highest figure if considered as allowance and how will i explain her monthly expenditure. **Is it compulsory I submit her 6 months statement of account, though I will be transferring the money for her and the kids travelling expenses to her account. **Do I need to get any letter from her siblings or my parent who have given her money though not lump sup. I already have my own visa and have visited the UK before but will be going with them and sponsoring with 1.250m. Travelled out as a family to dubai. |

Brtrue:I would say you do the maths and that would determine if it will fly as just you know the cost of your return ticket and chosen accommodation and sort of food you eat.So add all that up. |

gglakeside79:Have you uploaded your supporting documents? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by gglakeside79: 11:59pm On Aug 23, 2021 |
royalmu: I have filled the online application form and using assisted services where supporting documents will be photocopied and scanned by the TLS official. So whats your advice |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by royalmu: 12:20am On Aug 24, 2021 |
gglakeside79:Make a new booking at a different property and then write a cover letter. If you already have a cover letter, add the details of the new accommodation to it and explain that the previous booking was cancelled and then print copies of the new booking and also the email that you received stating that the previous booking was cancelled, and also a copy of the visa application form where you have accommodation details, strike through the previous accommodation and write the name of the new accommodation with a pen and sign against it. Take these documents to TLS on the day of biometrics along with other supporting documents. You don't need to add the previous booking you made since it's already cancelled, but you need to add the email that you received stating that the previous booking was cancelled because it is that cancellation email that will justify the new booking you will make. I hope you understand. All the best. |

royalmu: I would suggest that you should not worry about cancellation as hotel reservations is listed amongst documents you should not send in according to their website though they may use the cost of your hotel booking to gauge your trip estimate but may not likely do any confirmation. NB: it has worked well for many people around me. |

gglakeside79: In the photo is a list of documents you should not send so you choose to send at all you should not be worried about confirmation as this may not likely happen 1 Like

rebless:Don't forget that some persons have had their visa applications not approved because the hotel reservation they made was cancelled as the time the embassy wanted to confirm if the reservation was still valid. |

Every applicant needs to have an acceptable financial picture in terms of showing how credible one is enough not to flout the visa terms and conditions once given. According to you- unemployed/no source of income, has a side hussle which is not really structured. So who will financially sponsor the trip? and why decide on a trip if at the spur of the moment, the sponsor can not cover it, will she fall on public funds to survive? I feel it is not enough that she has interest in visiting the UK. She is an adult and can decide to leave your house and become illegal, what things tie her to Nigeria that will make sure she won’t do this? When you can answer these questions convincingly to yourselves then it will be safe to commence this application. As for documents to be tendered, pls read the thread... vast information. Good day guys, I'm filling the VAF for my kids and was asked "how much are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the uk" and "how much will they be paying towards your visit" Since have transferred the money for the expenses to my wife's account should I just fill the total money transferred to her account for both questions or do I need to split the money ? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nobody: 3:14pm On Aug 24, 2021 |
rebless:Hi.I can understand this totally and agree as well but It says less useful not useless. Some information you send help them arrive at a decision or explain a situation better for instance personal photographs a friend applied to come visit me and was called in to explain why she looked so different in one of our photos presented and she explained she had lately moved from wearing glasses to contact lens and shaved her hair as her husband passed recently. Also,i used my wedding photograph to get my husband here as they asked him questions about the day believe it or not they asked the colour of the cake and name of the venue (which they themselves only knew because of the photo). In an application do what you feel is best within reason to grant you the category you need.I hope this puts things in perspective. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 3:31pm On Aug 24, 2021 |
It is not a joint application. Fill each form about the individual per time. owenjegede: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nobody: 3:40pm On Aug 24, 2021 |
Scott00113:So am thinking an adult not in full time employment or full time education and probably single is a red flag even if she honestly intends just to tour and come back. I would suggest she registers her online hustle as a business name,it’s costs less than 40k and she would get her certificate within a month. If she decides to open a company account she would need a letter of reference from the bank stating she owns the business and is the signatory. So she applies for 6months Tourist visa and submits; -Duly filled Application form. -Cac business name certificate. -6 months bank statements. -Landed property Documents. -Proof of Accommodation. -Detailed Itinerary for trip duration. Then the result is hello United Kingdom. (Also especially for first timers have sense on your online account such as Facebook,Instagram,Twitter, snap chat and even whatsapp as your personal details is used to run a search to have a feel of the kind of individual you are,and if you pose a flight or even security risk.Making statements like if i enter London goodbye Nigeria forever or i love what is happening in Afghanistan these days or acting “relatively irresponsible” does not help so clean up). It is sometimes part of background checks and doesn’t always lead to a refusal but there have been loads of cases. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

giselle237: Thanks for your response. Let me state that its a joint application with my wife and the 2 kids and I have transferred the money for the travelling expenses for my wife and the 2 kids to her account. Do I need to split the transferred money among the 3 of them or I should just state the total money transferred on all the application.? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 4:31pm On Aug 24, 2021 |
You, your wife and 2 kids are traveling. This is 4 different 4 visa fees + 4 different forms that should be filled with individual information. The best to link them is to state when asked if you are traveling with anyone, you state yes and fill the names. It is not joint as so dnt go and fill in your trip cost lets say 4million. No. It is not joint application. Fill your personal budget. Likewise for all. The same visa officer is likely not going to be the one to treat all 4 cases, that is how it works. U all can use one account sure as the kids are minors but pls dnt join budget of the kids to her budget while filling her form. owenjegede: |

Thanks so much for the information. I will split the bills among them. I already have my own visa, its just the 3 of them that are applying. giselle237: |

Tutu82: Your examples makes it make sense though and Iagree with you too the importance of including those documents however I still believe a cancelled hotel reservation shouldn't be a thing to worry about |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nobody: 6:59pm On Aug 24, 2021 |
rebless:That is true and it depends on who,s table the application goes to on the day. Some dot every i and cross every t.If they actually check and the reservation is cancelled it looks iffy for the applicant. But then again God for us all. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nobody: 7:08pm On Aug 24, 2021 |
rebless:Also people have written where they are staying and not included a reservation and their visa was approved.I think the rule of thumb is to be able defend every document you put down. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nchabuomo: 7:36pm On Aug 24, 2021 |
Tutu82: I think you are right. I just had my schengen visa renewed and the accommodation reservation was cancelled even before my biometrics. I think a good rule of thumb would be provide requested documents and also documents to substantiate any claims you make in your application. 1 Like 1 Share |
