If you have money to invest in Nigeria, I advise you to look towards Abakaliki. The reason is due to a lot of long-term economic opportunities cropping up in the rising city. 1. The inter-regional road constructed by the African Development Bank from Enugu to Bamenda in Cameroun passes through the city. 2. Along this road, the state is building a world-class economic hub. An important part of this hub is the world-class marketplace. Let me start by sharing some key features of the market (with photos) before I talk about the rare opportunities that hide there and many people are not seeing them. 1 Like

The market is equipped with standard shops, the entire floor is paved and it has expansive parking lots all around. As you can see, many shops here are yet to be acquired. And they are still relatively cheap. The shops cost between N505,000 and N4.25 million - outright purchase oh! If you consider the strategic position of the market, you can see a big future here. Very soon, people will no longer be able to get the shops.

People are already coming to the market from as far as Cross River and Benue states. It is hoped to attract people from Cameroun also when the inter-regional road is completed hopefully by the end of the year. 4 Likes

A stream runs through the market. We're planning to build a mini park along the stream for relaxation. You know, all trading and no relaxation makes Jane a dull girl 3 Likes

Apart from the market, there are many beautiful plazas springing up around the city. One thing I have noticed is that they are generally cheaper than elsewhere because not many people are coming for them yet. So, it's still an opportunity for those who have foresight. 3 Likes

Along that inter-regional road also is the glass tunnel (although I'm not a fan of this) and the International Ecumenical Center which is expected to attract international visitors too when completed. Have a glimpse for yourself: 4 Likes
