I did my capture today. Not DIY though. I doubt if it'll be DIY friendly cos even after paying way more than the official charges for it, at the final stage of the capturing, the person there was still asking if I've anything for him. Paid #33k in total too.

Hello guys, I’m a DIY applicant that got an sms from Alausa office to come for data capturing yesterday. I went yesterday and my name was never called, I’m around today again and my name has not yet been called so far. Is there anyone I can talk to over there?

Day 2 ..... Capturing

I arrived the passport office at about 9am, we were asked to stay in the waiting hall (special candidates and DIY) and people were been called as soon as their payment has been confirmed with all needed vetting and stamping. I was eventually called for capturing around 12:40pm we proceeded to the capturing area (strictly no mobile phones allowed) and capturing was concluded around 1:25... After capture i was given a number and asked to come for collection in about 4 weeks time.

All the officers are approachable and willing to guide and assist.

DO NOT WASTE MONEY.. ALWAYS GO THE DIY WAYYY.. It is time consuming but worth it i must add.

So today 26/8/2021 i decided to go for collection (no Sms from immigration) arrived at the command 7:20am had to wait till they open at 8:00am. We were addressed by an officer who directed collection through a path way and then to be seated under a canopy.

We were asked to drop our enrollment slip in a box and wait for our names to be called. At about 9:20 my name was called and collected after entering my name In a register. While waiting i heard lots of gist by people who paid as much as 80/100k for agent i couldn't help but laugh .

Festac command does not value dicothomy of agent/cutting corners

Passport issued since 14 july 2021 captured 22nd June 2021

I left angrily bro...I went to servicom to check the status of my passport and it's still in AA so I went to Investigations to meet my agent....I had to create scene because that's the only language Nigerians understand....I swear I was ready to be arrested today but it never happened....imagine since 11weeks now....they are rakecteering passport booklets for production....abeg does anyone know the email for the comptroller General of immigrations abuja...I need to vent my anger to him....and if I don't get my passport before next week runs out am calling them out on all social media platforms,...am ready to be arrested walahi

I just collected my passport today at alausa NIS. It is Renewal and strictly DIY.

TIMELINE:
online application 6th July 2021
Submission of all required documents 13th July 2021
Capturing 19th July 2021
Passport issued 12th August 2021

Alausa NIS is very DIY freindly.
Next stage passport application for wife and my child

I think the best way now is this. Go to their web page on facebook. The web page and create a post there or make comment on a recent post by them. That way it will get their attention. Ikoyi is in a bad spot right now and we need to do something fast.

When I submitted mine in Abeokuta, the officer gave me a date, that was approximately a Month to when I submitted my documents.

I was at the immigration office at Abeokuta yesterday for capturing. It all went smoothly. I was told to come back on the 7th of September for my passport. I hope it will be ready be then.

Plus that fair woman is at the front desk is like the nicest public servant have met in years. She was always ready to help all. I had to appreciate her when I was leaving the office. She never asked me for anything, I only gave her out of freewill.

I checked in today just to be told that my nin didn't drop in their system, was told to go back to where I did my nin and tell them that they know what to do, i went there told the nin man who told me that i need to be patient or if it was urgent, then I will have to pay 4k for them to drop it in their system........ Another 4k don go like that o........ Ikoyi na thrash joor

True! She was helpful when I went for my file submission. I didn't meet her when I went for uploading though.
And she's far nicer than the dark man sitting adjacent her table.

My wife started her passport renewal yesterday, after I came by this thread, and she submitted today at the Alausa office.
Though she said the officer that attended to her at the point of submission told her to expect a mail for capturing, say in like 2 weeks thereabout.

Irrespective sha, that place is DIY friendly as said by many here.

If you are an applicant at ikoyi like me abeg let's bomberd that post with our grievances...you can't imagine the annoyance I felt yesterday after being told that there was enough booklet from abuja but I need to pay extra 20k and it would be out immediately.....and una expect say Nigeria go better...the person heading Ikoyi command is to blame for this gross incompetence and massive daylight corruption.....ikoyi nah den of thieves ....
