1.Nigerians had good reason to reject GEJ...he was a bad leader, just as Buhari is a bad leader. And he was a bad leader because he did not use our oil windfall to liberate us from a lifetime of selling raw materials, instead, like Buhari, and like all his predecessors, we kept our economy dependent on oil.

In 2014, OIL prices crashed. By 2015, his own finance minister was predicting economic disaster, whoever won the election that year.

And before you start, I have never voted for Buhari, nor did I see him as the saviour Nigeria needed. He was...is ...an old man who should have long since made way for more able men. PDP and APC are both the same to me.

You Nigerians should vote for leaders who are ready to make us use our resources to make goods the world needs, not sell raw materials whose prices we do not control, and whose prices are never at levels that can sustain us, making us take loans (And yes, we took loans throughout GEJ's regime, because even though oil prices were high, they were never high enough).

Infact, if you want good leaders, vote for leaders who will make us use our resources to develop...not sell them, and then import. That is what we have been doing since independence, and what we will keep doing now.

2.As for afghanistan...even if Trump was in power, the same thing would have happened...and it won't be the fault of the Americans, it is the fault of the Afghans themselves. If they cannot fight on their own for the maintenance of a relatively secular government against the Taliban, there is nothing the Americans can do....


If Trump or Biden wanted to be sucessful in Afghanistan, na to decalre that they are staying there for the next five generations...to build up a large population of secular Afghans. Like the French stayed in Algeria, built up a large secular population , and that large secular population was able to beat off the Algerian version of the Taliban. But the sad thing for folks like you is that colonial rule long since went out of fashion.
