I disagree with u. The ball was clearly going to find its way to the back of the net without James putting his arm in the way of the ball.....

It may seem harsh but it is what it is....he stopped a goal scoring opportunity with his arm. Period

True... The issue was that he made a forward motion with his arm that made it look like he was actively trying to keep the ball out of the net with his arm.
