Barrister Ejiofor, counsel to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has made another revelation from his client.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja on Friday, Ejiofor revealed that Kanu's greatest pain while in detention is that he is cut off from information. "You know he is someone who feeds on information", Ejiofor said. "So, you can imagine his agony when he has no access to the internet or newspapers. But, he understands it's one path all great souls before him went. You don't get freedom on a platter of gold".

The lawyer also used the opportunity to call on the Federal Government to consider allowing his client access to information. "At least, he's still innocent before the law. So, why treat him as if you are presuming him guilty?" Ejiofor said.
