Though the difference here is the capital. The usual disclaimer for position trading is for them to have huge capital to play with otherwise sorry will be their name. because come to think of it, most of the time price usually swings in range, and then trend for brief moments.

I'm sorry I had to reply you on this again, though I struggled to reply in order to avoid arguments that may not be necessary.

Your statement meant whoever trades $200 on monthly TF without confirming entries on lower TF is unsure and learner.

I have bolded 2 things...my 1st reply showed you that the 2nd bold doesn't mean the trader is unsure or learner but professional trader. It's just like saying I (as a swing trader) must check H1 or M30 before I enter trades.

Now you said the usual disclaimer for this trading style (position trader) is to have huge capital.....I don't know where this disclaimer came from, I don't know who stated it, atleast from my years of being in this game - I doubt there is any disclaimer like that.

I have a question for you: Does this mean that it is impossible for me to do position trading with $200, leverage 500:1, and trading ONLY a single pair throughout, EU with max 0.01 lot?

I have silently followed this thread for a while and have to commend the relentless efforts and commitments I have seen so far.

I however wish to point members to a direction which I feel will fast track the spirit of helping each other in this journey.

I have seen, in forexfactory, people sharing a clear strategy with a definite entry and exit plan; a complete system for people to practically test. And I think this is the best way to perfect a trading system and also to shorten the lengthy learning path for beginners.

I therefore wish that members will bring out their systems/strategies for people to test and make input on how such systems will be improved. This I think will help a lot, especially we that are just coming onboard.

I pray for the success of all of us in our trading and other offline activities.

to be honest it is hard to do that realistically, because the person will always be faced with the tendency or pressure of doubling his account within say a week in order to pay bills. Hence overleveraging with for instance 500: 1 e.t.c.

But if the position trader has large chunk of capital 30% profit in a year is more than enough. And the leverage will be as low as 1:1.
Pressure will not be there to overtrade.

If somebody with $200 were to trade like a position trader (fx investor) he/she will have wait for months, years for take the next profit . Very few persons will do this. Most persons will describe it as a waste of time.

Sir, position trading with $200, leverage 500:1 1:1 can be possible for educational purposes or training purposes.

happy Sunday traders,please let's begin to roll in the analysis for this week coming,As for me Dxy(dollars index)might be a little unpredictably but strong indications shows an early retracement but a continual fall as a result of the easing of stimulus package and the result of the Jackson hole meeting which saw investors pulling out of the dollar and running to Stocks and commodities,(reason for the sharp rise in Gold et al) so a midweek bearish move. I see for Dxy ,but a look at other currencies we shall soon,by the way may this week be a pipful week for us ahead
