With Ronaldo, I hope we get the desired effect. I don't think any of the players will want to him to have a go at them during a match, all of them must step up. I am sure Ronaldo will be desperate to win with this Manchester United squad just to prove a point that he is up for the challenge and if he does, only a UCL win for Messi will see him edge Ronaldo in the Balon d'or race next year...Personally, I will give it to Ronaldo if he wins the league or UCL with us.

The issue of a competent DM has been discussed extensively on these board, I hope the club does something about it before Deadline day...Time is ticking...

The manager is not on the level of Tuchel, Pep, or Klopp. This we all know. At least the reasonable ones amongst us know this. It is therefore in our interest to keep the squad as strong as possible in order to try to bridge the gap between our manager and the rival managers.

This is why i keep asking that we get a very good DM in order not to waste the opportunity we have this particular season in which we still have Pogba (likely leaving at the end of the season), Bruno, Cavani (leaving at the end of the season), and Ronaldo (father time calling soon) together.

Our squad next season minus Pogba and Cavani would likely be weaker unless Greenwood, Rashford and some of our youth players make incredible progress over the next 12 months.

We need a solid DM and a strong squad not because it can't be done without them by an elite manager but because it can't be done without them by the manager we have. No matter how much you insult someone you can't force him to give you what he does not have.

Doc i vote for Kalvin Philips, dude looks like the real deal. Ndidi won't come cheap, so Philips does it for me....

Definitely happy with Phillips but he is Leeds born and bred. He might not want to come and even if he does come he might be at the mercy of the Old Trafford faithful if he struggles (because of his origins).

Any of Ndidi, Bissouma, Phillips are good enough for me. I think Rice is too slow and too expensive and i have never really seen Tchouameni play while Niguez is not a CDM.

He has stopped doing that for either club and country. Last season he was purely a CF. It would be suicidal to play him on the wings at this stage in his career and definitely not in the EPL.
