The "Patriots " will soon tell you that you don't know how to "read".

You see them defending rubbish, romanticising pessimism and encouraging all sorts of banning.

No country can grow without embracing technology and creating an enabling environment for the youths to thrive.
The guy that created a drone has been snapped by a company in Finland but we're focused on banning start ups,Fintechs and Twitter. What stops the ministry of technology from reaching out to the youngster and find a way to make him work for us?

When we caution them, they say it's "tashere money" and "ridiculous apps".

or they go say na money laundering app LMAO, here and the NSE thread I no know which one clueless pass, they want me to invest my money in something that will devalue over the next few years, whether they like it or not the future is here you can either embrace or wail harder, seeing them supporting CBN action let me know say Nigerians really hate progress, they hate to see others succeed, the funny part is you will not hear this people voice when it comes to Ponzi scheme that defrauds millions of Nigerians.

I have been using them for 3 months now, they pay out interest every Monday ie weekly compounding & you can withdraw all your money at anytime. They are also present in Kenya, India & Tanzania, still do your due diligence though.

If not for the newbies coming to this thread with genuine intentions of looking for where to invest that their comments could mislead, I would have said you should not have dignified them with any response.

The they are either using alternate monikers or invited here to cajole people to invest in what they are not convinced about.

They are US and Crypto adherents that CBN policies and actions have dealt with and they want other people to be involved too maybe that would touch the CBN. Once they are not getting their way, they start name calling, bullying and all other tactics that will still not change the mind of those whose mind are already made.

The organic members of this thread already knows that though sometimes CBN policies might not be favourable to the investors. However, they will always find a legal means to move on instead of ranting for a decision that was made within ambit of CBN responsibilities. OMO was open to us all here back then and we could invest in it at will depending on your Bank and availablity. Now we cannot longer do it.

We discussed that and moved on without name calling and insinuations. That's what should happen but no they would rather do the opposite.

The issue of Doctors traveling to seek greener pastures abroad did not just start. It has always been there. If you have ever gone to ministry of education where they verify results you will know. The recent abracadabra in the news is because they want to the government to agree to their terms and nothing more.

Buhari supporter lol. You seem to see no new issue here? Yes, doctors have always searched for greener pastures, footballers, tech people, in fact all professionals have always done that.

But can you please point me to a time when there was an open recruitment of professionals by a different country in Nigeria and the FG had to go and scatter the place?

Can we please discuss Treasury Bills or other investment related topics or discussions

I guess there are more than enough threads for discussions on politics, difficulties and problems in the country

Investment threads discuss about solutions, opportunities and growth, not a place for wailing and whining.

Not that I don't have things to wail, complain or whine about, but doing them on an investment thread won't proffer solution or answers to my problems.

We will not start a new argument on this. There is no need to involve sentiment. Nothing shows there that I am either a Buhari supporter or not. I just stated the obvious as a Nigerian. I don't see any issue with their leaving because it has always been so. Since it was discovered that their profession is very needed abroad and could generate more money over there, the only ones that do not leave are the already established ones or the ones that can not meet the requirements for leaving. That's the truth.

Yes there may have been this kind of open arrangement before but it has always existed underground to not only Saudi but any country that can pay better. And like I said earlier the only reason you are seeing that Saudi recruitment charade now in the is because they want to get the FG to bow to their demands. It is part of strategies trade unions use.

With the stagnant rates on t-bills, we might not have a double digit rates this year or next year. Considering the huge debt this present govt is accumulating, it would be suicidal to increase interest rates at the moment, even though econometrics is saying otherwise.

Some mutual funds seems to be more appealing than t-bills for now.

For capital market, H1/Q2 results are being released. Companies that pay interim dividend are those to look out for.

Right now TB rates seem to be going down but the CP's that flied recently were considerate to investors, that's if only they had at least the required minimum. Have not heard of any corporate bond recently. FG Bond rates are considerate too but the hurdles to Invest in it is high for a retail investor. FGN Savings Bond 3 years tenure have been around 9.88% for 2 months now. Conservatives can still manage that.

Mutual Funds rate seem to be good too for now because of their diversified underlying assets. Especially the SUKUK Funds, Euro Bond Funds and Money Market Funds...

For me, I am not ripe for "real estate" now. I get plenty money for that one. I am considering REITS at least that will allow me at my own pace with some form of steady income.

Hello Investors,

I need a honest advise. Is it more profitable to invest in the Nigerian Stock Exchange (via mytradebook.com, meristem or Arm) or American Stock Exchange (via Passfolio, Bamboo etc)?

I have been monitoring the markets for a while now, and it seems the Nigerian stock exchange listed companies share prices have very minimal daily movements as compared to their American counteparts.

For example, In 1 year, there is a stock in the US called ROKU https://www.investing.com/equities/roku, it moved from $158 USD to $358USD as we speak, but the same can't be said of ABC Transport https://www.reuters.com/companies/ABCTRAN.LG/charts or VERITASKAP - https://cn.reuters.com/companies/VERITASKAP.LG/charts

Even Facebook - FB https://www.investing.com/equities/facebook-inc from $251 in September 2020 to $363 in August 2021
Chipolte Mexican Grill - CMG - https://www.investing.com/equities/chipotle-mexican-grill-inc from $1,220 in 13th Sept. 2020 to $1,920 in Aug 2021 not to talk of Netflix, Nvidia etc

My point is it seems the American markets have good daily movements than the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Kindly prove me wrong? Is it wise to invest in the NSE or the American Stock Exchange.

I know the NSE might have good daily movers, kindly advise which ones please; you can add a disclaimer to your picks since it won't constitute a financial advise.

Also please share your experience using the Investment Apps (Passfolio, Bamboo, Meristem or Arm Invest). I have used some local players and I must confess, after I sold the stocks and waiting for 2 days from the Central Clearing House, i got my funds plus the profit. Is it wise to use the foreign players like Passfolio, how easy is it to withdraw. Also exchange rate stuff when funding the foreign players, on Passfolio funding via Flutterwave is $1 = NGN522.

Thanks.
