Latest transfer deadline day speculation is that Chidozie Awaziem could join fellow Super Eagles star Terem Moffi at French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient.

The talk is that Lorient will initially take Awaziem, 24, on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Should this transfer go through before Tuesday’s deadline, it will be the second time defender Awaziem will play in France after he previously played on loan at FC Nantes three years ago.

In this summer transfer window, Awaziem has also been linked with Turkish champions Besiktas.

He came through the ranks at FC Porto, who shipped him out on loan severally before they finally sold him to another Portuguese club Boavista after a successful loan spell this year.

He has already been capped 22 times by Nigeria and has scored a goal.

Andrew the many messages here show that you are loved and this platform is indeed a family despite all the banters and insults. May you find strength to keep going and you must be strong for your madam sir. Similar happened to a relative who traveled out to have a child too but lost the child, to God's Glory they got pregnant again and the baby is doing well now.
Jah bless!!!!

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that five players invited for the Super Eagles upcoming World Cup qualifier against Liberia have reported for international duty.

They are Leicester City duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, Everton winger Alex Iwobi, Kaizer Chiefs glovesman Daniel Akpeyi and Abia Warriors center back Adekunle Adeleke.

Adeleke has been handed a late call-up by the Nigeria Football Federation to make up the numbers as a result of the withdrawal of Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka, who tested positive for Covid-19 last week.

Ndidi went the distance in Leicester's road win vs Norwich City while Iheanacho and Iwobi were second half substitutes for their respective clubs in Premier League matches.

Manager Gernot Rohr is expecting twenty players in camp by the close of business today and a full complement of players on Tuesday, three days before they take to the pitch against Liberia.

All the thirty players named to the roster have been instructed to show up in Lagos, including the seven players named in the reserve list.

The players will have lunch at 1300 hours before hitting the Eko Hotels & Suites gym at 1700 hours.
