Yes, she did deny the romance she had with Pere but she never denied they were involved as partners in the house. And I'm talking about the event in the house. Granted Pere possibly wanted commitment in the house but Maria didn't because she's got someone outside. Pere also claimed that he's got someone outside anyway. Point is this thing doesn't happen easily like that. You can't just leave someone you've probably known for years for a new fling. That was exactly what happened to Nina back then. Everyone kept on attacking Nina for refusing to denounce her boyfriend for Miracle despite doing stuff with Miracle but at the end of the day when she finally decided to go with Miracle, it turned out that it was Miracle who was actually living a lie. Personally, I felt they started having serious issues when they were both up for eviction. Pere kept parroting about Maria betrayal any chance he got.
