LordReed: LordReed: Why bring Obama and arms exports history into it? I'm re-posting the above post to yank you back to point, which is your own Trump-specific question as to why Trump went to Saudi (if not for oil, as implied by the tone of the query). I gave you a mega weapons deal outcome of the visit to show that Trump had something weightier that oil in mind for that visit. Again note that I agree that oil remains AMONG the interests, but that it was no longer the CHIEF, the MAJOR, the PRIME interest since America had become energy independent in Trump era. I keep repeating Trump era because Biden will go against fossil fuel at home and America:s dependence on external sources of oil will return. Now give me one oil related outcome of heavier weight than the weapons deal to prove that oil was the MAJOR reason Trump went to Saudi. (slightly modified) 2 Likes 1 Share |

zendi: How was the US energy independent in Trump's era when oil imports from SA grew? I am juxtaposing the history because you are not giving any cogent reason for me to think oil is no longer a major reason for US interests in the Middle East in general and Saudi Arabia in particular. |

In naija life has lost premium and we are now immuned to the shock of deaths and killings and that is just sad 1 Like |

benalvino3:is it really? Or is it your take that is stupid? The withdrawal was chaotic but right, parallel it with the fall of Saigon and the withdrawal from Syria, benghazi and tell me how any wartime withdrawals go exactly to plan. The point here is that you're stupidly nitpicking and politicking while I'm saying America has more challenging socio-economic issues at home whose resolution republicoons will do their damned best to obstruct not for policy reasons but just for the irrationality of obstructing for obstruction's sake. And these folks are right, why the he'll do you care more about Biden's chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan while we have buhari backed jihadist threatening our lives here at home? Isn't that a case of misplaced priorities? 1 Like 1 Share |

RentAghost: Withdrawal will go exactly as planed if there was actually a plan. It does not make sense what you said because it takes no effort to transport those dogs out. You talk about destitute and homelessness but the border is wide open and the fly and bus in illegals and house them while others suffer. How many criminals from Afghanistan and isis terrorists will they be housing in the US and all over the world? The US flew out some convicted criminals deported back to Afghanistan all around the world. This just goes to show they have no clue of most of the people they will be housing in different part of the world. This has nothing to do with the fool buhari. If you want you can open another thread so we can discuss that. I don't see how you are jumping to buhari on this one. 4 Likes |

LordReed: Looks like you are challenged economically. You don't order 200k litres of oil ,wait to sell it and order more. You hedge a price , do a contract say annual. US was a net energy exporter. Was exporting more than importing. In other words if all contracts (impex )were cancelled then it would not need any import of oil and gas. Middle East needs to be stable because of oil.Shortage of ME oil sends oil prices up all over the world. The development of shale oil in US has helped oil consuming economies stabilise their forex reserves by way of lowered oil prices. 3 Likes |

benalvino3:wrong, no withdrawal under fire ever went according to plan because you can not be in control of all the determining factors at all times, that is the reality of military engagements. You can make your best plans and hope your subordinates are capable enough to improvise on the fly when any aspect of your plans deviates from parameters. You're not in military logistics, supply and transport as they are called here in Nigeria and yet you make bold claims about the efficacy of implementing plans when means are scarce and demand is greater than supply and humans have to be prioritised. And how will stopping the entry of immigrants at land borders have saved these dogs? I prioritise humans over them anytime even convicted afghans. And yes this has everything to do with buhari as we are both Nigerians resident in Nigeria receiving the short end if the stick of his misgovernance and honestly I am ashamed to be seen picking the speck in America's eye while ignoring the gigantic log in ours 5 Likes 2 Shares |

LordReed: Saudi production cost of oil is very low, the oil minister is in a video talking about 5 dollars per barrel. They need oil prices at least 50 dollars per barrel within a stated output per day to sustain the govt and its overly generous state subsidies eg education, funding wahabbism worldwide reverse osmosis plants, electric power etc. Fracking is expensive, dig wells, pour chemicals then pump the oil out of always. Unlike simply digging a perpetual well once and pumping it out. Increasing world supply decreases oil prices, making fracking more difficult to invest in. But frackers were able to cut production costs to 29 dollars a barrel eg by horizontal drilling making them competitive in oil prices above 50$ per barrel. Cutting production costs means being more efficient and more production. 2 Likes |

Factcheckers also told us Joe Biden won 81m votes COVID-19 was definitely not a lab leak Russia stole 2016 elections Why should I believe that crap of an article. Taliban is a show off group. If they had a person hoisting a flag off a helicopter they would have made it official like the way they are showing off guns, helicopters and humvees. Those are two people. Only talking about one . They look bound to me. Taliban are not showing off their misdeeds like shooting a woman dead because she could not cook for them. To protect Joe Biden fockup, Facebook Instagram deleted a Goldstar mom's account this week. A mother to one of the thirteen marines. 2 Likes 1 Share
