Cyriel Dessers was on his way to Spanish club CD Leganes, where he would have linked up with fellow Super Eagles star Kenneth Omeruo, before he switched to Dutch giants Feyenoord.

Dessers is on a season-long loan to Feyenoord after Paul Onuachu did not move as widely expected and following the arrival of Ike Ugbo at Genk.

Genk striker Dessers told Algemeen Dagblad how it all changed so quickly this week.

“I was literally on my way to CD Leganés in Spain this week,” Dessers explained.

“Then Feyenoord came and I really wanted to go there. So then I turned around and went to Rotterdam.

“Feyenoord play nice football. I can score goals, I have runs and I know how to put pressure. I think it can be done here I have seen almost all Feyenoord matches this season. First as an enthusiast, but later because I knew there was interest from the club.”

At Feyenoord, Dessers will wear jersey No 33.

Comparing a developmental league with league of tired unskilful legs

The Belgian League has fallen from what it used to be.

And your "tired unskill legs" point is invalid, as the Serie A is a league of veterans, yet is rated 3rd in the world.

The Leganes move wouldn't have been a bad move one bit. Troost Ekong moving to Watford at 27, is proof that moving to the second division of a top league, is the best way for average players to make it to the big time.

The loan to Leganes included an option to recall him in January, so Genk are still banking on selling Onuachu this season.

Would like to see Rohr try something like this for a change. Defensively and offensively solid Make the wingers rest abeg

               Osimhen
                                        Iheanacho

                 Iwobi                   Aribo

                               Ndidi
Zaidu/Aina                                          Aina/Ebuehi

               Ekong - Balogun - Awaziem

                             Okoye/Uzoh

This formation actually make a lot of sense... Liberia don't have good players like that... they will be banking on the Sierra Leone approach to beat us... Park the bus and hit us on the counter...this formation is the right fit...

This is very good.

Ejuke and Iwobi are very good with through balls,
one can come in for the other, or both can have a starting berth.

Moses Simon and Samuel kalu can also function as wingbacks.

Henry Onyekuru can also play as a secondary striker.

Transfer news: 'Tino Anjorin

19 y/o Faustino Anjorin (AM) joins Lokomotiv Moscow on loan from Chelsea for one season.
The loan move comes with a buy option of £17million.

And if Lokomotiv exercise that buy option signing Anjorin on a permanent deal at the end of the 21/22 season, Chelsea has already included a future buy back clause of £34million.

Cool headed guy, one for the future if only e no go mumu like others. smart business by Ralf rangnick, heard he is the new sporting director at Locomotiv Moscow (sometime ago I read an article concerning Red Bull football group, and he did a wonderful job there).

The Clutch Man: CR7, World Record International Goals Holder

Scoring 111 International goals (in 180 international games). Shattering the previous record in the manner he did by earning his nation 3 points despite missing a penalty that normally should have seen a couple of other players sulking all game and feeling bad about themselves. But not this man. Not Ronaldo. Hate him or love him, fan him or not.... you gotta give it to the man. One of the very greatest to grace the beautiful game. Up there as one of the GOATs.

Pele, Maradona, Messi, C.Ronaldo... all GOAT-level footballers. Pele is still #1 GOAT for me. wink

But hey, Give it up for the Super Magnificent CR7. The greatest International Goals Banger of all time. One of the greatest Clutch and most inevitable players of all time.
That moment last night gotta be the Most Clutch Moment of the Week.

Congrats CR7.... Mr.Inevitable. cool

The Belgian league has not fallen anything
Players stjll troop out from there every season

The seria A is filled with skilled veterans but seems they've gotten a balance now as both old and young play there now

Sure lot of average old players will push for the turkish league especially with the tax system unlike the Belgium league that is a developmental league filled with youngsters who are pacy and promising and more so they don't pay like turkey

Edin dzeko was very good at mancity ,he was not starting all games because we have one of the greatest striker playing that role which was Aguero and we also have a balotelli

Gabriel Jesus cannot lace the boots of edin dzeko or any top strikers in the seria A ,I am a fan of Jesus but I need to be sincere

Dzeko is now playing for inter Milan

To score in the seria A is also hard
