ItzBenita: You should start your findings from the Universities mentioned in previous pages on this thread. Google has a lot of resources too and yes. A lot of schools are ready to admit and offer you funding with that GPA. Checkout this link, also : https://ischoolconnect.com/blog/list-of-100-graduate-schools-with-low-gpa-requirements/ Please, don’t wait for anybody to give you names of schools . Go through the websites of the schools on that link and do your research yourself. Send e-mail to their grad cords and make necessary enquiries . You can learn how to construct enquiry emails if you don't know how to . Goodluck to us all on this journey. 3 Likes |

Congrats to you. if all transcript was bleep bleep, you would not have gotten transcripts here to prepare for your interview.... if you really want to help other Applicants pls do it right.. all the best. Program: Computer Science (Msc) COA: 42k Funding: Graduate assistantship Deficit: 37k GOD IS THE GREATEST VO: I see you are going to pursue a masters program in Computer science at bleep university Me: Yes, that’s correct Vo: What do you do for a living Me: I work as an inventory data analyst at bleep company where i develop performance metrics and establish ad-hoc reporting to enhance department efficiency. Vo: Alright, Why this university ? Me: I chose this university because it offers students the opportunity to engage and participate in capstone projects of the school which students can leverage as graduate experience. Also, during an email conversation with Dr Bleep, the Graduate Program director, i was informed bleep university offers graduate internship programs just within the two years course of studies, the school has a strong collaboration with the industry which i believe would help me harness the advanced skills and theoretical knowledge of what is taught in class for practical applications in real life scenarios. Vo: what is your plan after completing your program? Me: I’ll be coming back to Nigeria to seek reabsorption in my present organization as they have an understanding with me and has given me a 2 years study leave, so i plan on returning to them with the skills i have acquired through this course to help develop innovative and cutting edge solutions that address challenges we face in the company… Vo: Cuts in, who is sponsoring you? Me: I have a graduate assistantship and will be sponsored by Bleep business, owned by my elder brother. Vo: what does he do? Me: He is an established business man who is into large scale farming in the south western part of the country, he also owns some landed properties and apartments in Bleep state some of which he rents out for residential and commercial purposes. Vo: types for long.. I will be approving your visa. Bla bla bla Me: (With a big smile). Thank you very much. Key Points to Note: The interview lasted for 3 mins 1. Please pray and pray and pray. Honestly I would say God favored me during this interview process, because the Vo which was a white female actually denied two applicants, and i was trying to escape her so I can get interviewed by the white male but as God would have it, we were shifted and i was called by the female VO and God did his work 2. Please prepare and study and speak to an object or something you can focus on while answering your questions during your practice, this really helped me cos i have little difficulties with staring at people in the eyes while talking. I stared at her throughout the whole interview 3. Please be honest and speak the truth with what correlates in your ds-160 form. 4. Now, i feel i have to share this last one with y’all cos I know someone might need it in advance. If you are going to be using your sponsor’s business account for getting your I-20, please have your school make this known on your I-20 , it was just Yesterday that it got dawned on me that my I-20 was showing family funds instead of company funds as sponsor on my I-20, whereas I already filled my sponsor’s business name on my ds-160. Thankfully to God, my school changed the “family funds” to “company funds” on my I-20 and even indicated my sponsor’ business name and his personal name which is my elder brother on the remarks section. Trust me, this really matters if you are going to be using your sponsor’s company statement of account. Everything as to match with your ds-160. Even thankfully for me, I wasn’t asked for my brother’s company statement of account. 5. Thanks to everyone who has posted their transcripts, I really took plenty cues from them cos honestly it helped me prepare well, Good-luck to everyone waiting for their interview. Just be confident and PRAYYYYYYY. [/quote] 12 Likes 2 Shares |

AdeGbuyi20:I’m not an expert but in the same shoes as yours. I come to realize that what we feel was the reason for the denial might not be. Like you pointed, people used uncle and got approved. People with no or deficits also got approved using uncle. So what must have gone wrong? I am still searching for answers. Don’t give up, yes your moral might be low but keep trying cus I’m also trying in spring. |

thank you for sharing your thought, i mentioned 30 staffs cos that's the number of the total staffs we have in the firm which does not include lawyers alone and currently we have 15 lawyers as supposed the 10 lawyers on the website with 15 non lawyers. Also, I mentioned entertainment law becos its under intellectual property law or they are regarded as same and I did not intend to complicate things up that's why I was more specific since entertainment law is what i am going for in the University. going foward i intend to explain this differences in my next ds-160 and i will be applying back to abuja or what do you think ? i have also sent a mail to you. thank you. . owagbeba: |

ItzBenita: Quick question. What is your post graduate plan and what do you intend to achieve with masters in Pol science?. It's not an on-demand career path both in Buhari-land and biden-land 6 Likes |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Muleriders: 2:42pm On Sep 03, 2021 |
Nozino: 2.9/4.0 is US scale and not Nigeria scale. Hence it looks like final GPA To the bolded, that's not true. Couple of schools have minimum of 2.5/4.0 as requirements. My grade was lower than that and I was admitted and graduated. 10 Likes |

TOPMAN5252: Omo. This your COA is heavy oooo. 83k X 510 (naira to dollar rate) = 42,330,000. Even after deducting your funding, your sponsor will be paying deficit of about 27million a year. That's huge fa. On your response to why brandis, prepare to answer this question. " Since you already started online and attended summer course only, why didn't you want to complete the remaining program online as well?" 3 Likes |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Nozino: 3:01pm On Sep 03, 2021 |
Muleriders: Ok. Most schools I have checked out (and that’s quite a lot) clear states 3.0/4.0 scale as the minimum. I feel the GPA she gave was the American equivalent. Most Nigeria unis do not use the 4.0 grading system. |

NICE TRANCRIPT. my advice here is work on why you choose the school, you can as well give other reasons why you prefer studying in the USA than the Uk.
