Hello everyone, Please I need your assistance. Mums/dads who used Memorial Hermann Sugarland recently, how did you get email correspondence from the hospital? or is the correspondence from the doctor enough to take to your interview? I intended to use Oakbend before and I got email correspondence from the hospital as well as my doctor, but after the reviews I have seen recently, I am considering changing to MH. Please help. Thank you. |

MissEvey: Me too!! Honestly this lack of visa appointment is so frustrating!! I've been checking several times a day for over a month now and the earliest date I'm seeing is April 2022. Somebody even said US embassy are no longer issues B1/B2 visas for the meantime. I don't know if this is true though. Please house, help us with any advice oh. |

Thank you so much guys for the suggestions. Immediately I saw we couldn’t get a notary public to swear over the phone, I checked for an appointment, that was on Tuesday and luckily for us I saw 3 spaces remaining for August 26th today at Lagos and since there wasn’t any other day to choose in August, I had to take it and my husband canceled everything and flew to Lagos. He just got it notarized now and would be sending it to me. Thank you for all your support. Pls does anyone know how I can go about the ETC so I can use it to enter Nigeria. The last time I used visa on arrival, these people embarrassed me 1 Like 2 Shares |

MissEvey: I used Oakbend the last time but plan on using Memorial Hermann for this birth. I sent an email to the hospital but they asked me to call their number. I found out about a Dr Ziworitin on this platform. Did some research and found out he has admitting rights in Hermann so I reached out to them via email. They sent me information needed to register and also OB packages for the hospitals they use, Hermann being one of them. I plan on taking that correspondence to my interview. Thing is, to fully register with Dr Z's clinic, you need to send them a copy of your visa. |

Hi, I gave birth in MH and didn’t need email correspondence from the hospital for my visa interview. I just went with the Appointment letter from my DR. Though the visa officer didn’t ask to see any documents from me in the end. MissEvey: |

Thank you for replying. I have also discovered Dr. Z with help from the information others have posted on this thread. It is possible to register without a visa though. They will require your passport data page in lieu. You can try with this instead. Please I now I need assistance with appointment date.. We are 3 applying and the earliest I am seeing is Jan 2023. Please help us, if you can... CeeM: |

Good day house. I am planning on going to Virginia for birthing my baby. I have checked around for hospitals and Obyns, the most prominent ones i found is Dr Fitzgugh and Henrico doctors. This is good but the prices are quite low and i am wondering if ppl who used these facilities had issues with visa renawal due to low cost. Appreciate if any one can give me contact of other Obgyns and Hospitals in Richmond Virginia. |

Kesspru: Yes and it worked. You should also write a letter explaining that you need the passport to travel out with the baby as you are not an American resident. You and your spouse should sign the letter and insert it in the envelope along with the form and all 3 Likes |

Hi! I just want to correct two information here. 1. Your baby can travel with the Nigerian ETC on its own. This means your baby does not need any passport to travel out of the United States. Just ensure that you hold the ETC and birth certificate. This is how I travelled with my newborn 2. For expedited application (as at July/August) it took 4 weeks from application date till deliver of the passport (for MD) Thank you. 5 Likes |

Godheard: Hello! I ended up using U of M in La plata and it cost 17k in total (included hospital, physician, anesthesiologist, peds). I had a high risk pregnancy (from beginning till the end) and needed extra tests + care, so my costs were generally higher. You can also go to the U of M website, choose to view estimated bill as a guest to see what your procedure may cost. |

Hello Mama, Congrats on the birth of your little one. Please can you give a breakdown of how long it took for you to get baby's birth certificate, SSN, getting an appointment for passport application and how long it took for the passport processing. Thanks a lot purpleribbon: |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by purpleribbon(f): 9:23am On Sep 06, 2021 |
pointednose: Hi Mama, Thank you so much and I wish you a safe delivery. The baby’s birth certificate was ready in less than a week but we had to make corrections to the name, so I had extra four days added due to the whole notary process of changing the certificate information. I haven’t received the SSN yet (we suspect this was caused by the name change) but another mama that delivered a month before me at the same hospital received her baby’s SSN in one week. I called on a Wednesday and got an appointment for the Friday of that week i.e two days later. The passport came in 28 days afterwards (less than a month actually). I paid for the expedited process and the express post at the post office. |
