Most of those sicknesses are caused by satanic forces, the first thing I noticed when I reverted to Islam is that my monthly malaria typhoid treatment ceased, I rushed to google the country with the lowest rate of cancer and it was an islamic nation, the highest rate of cancer a Christian nation, apart from the revelations I had, I carried out many research before embracing Islam fully because I was very sceptical but I have been surprised at the goodness in Islam since. But like you said we also get sick because there are many things one can do that will make them not to gain the benefits of being a muslim and sicknesses can also be an act of God.
