Terrence99: Gowon, IBB, Abdulsallam are from the North Central region. Or are you disallowing the fact that they presided over Nigeria because they were in military uniform? The history of political leadership of Nigeria must not start in 1999 for your own fancy and deceptive designs. The history must stat from 1960 independence. Those military leaders from the North Central region even changed the political structure and governance system of Nigeria a million times more than the far north and SW civilian presidents. The 36 states political structure with a whooping number of 19 states in the old northern region alone, is at the root of the disadvantages of having an Igbo president of Nigeria. 2 Likes 1 Share |

winningp: Seun, the Yoruba is also on “today, it’s Oduduwa Republic (Yoruba Nation), and tomorrow, it’s Yoruba president of Nigeria.” In 1998/99, Yoruba was about to break away from Nigeria because of the MKO Abiola treatment by northern military and civil caucuses. The situation was worse for Nigeria then than today’s agitation for restoration of Biafra, because most non Yoruba Nigerians fled from Yoruba land, the economy of Nigeria suffered a severe setback because of Yoruba militancy then. |

onuman:And you have forgotten that Nigeria was derailed onto this ignominious path of dysfunctionality by a collection of Igbos who subverted democracy, introduced military rule into our national lives and destroyed the pristine constitution we started with at independence. So how exactly is an anticipated Igbo rule in 2023 not going to cause a repetition of that bad experience? 2 Likes 1 Share |

This are emotional political statement, PDP that is South East birthright is not planning on giving South East presidential slot but you are expecting presidential slot from APC The party south Easterners consider Fulanis party? How will the Igbo man campaign? What will he say to others region that IGBOS hate with passion? . I will not ever support or vote for Igbo president from APC... Igbos should reap where they sow PDP and APGA. YOU can't keep blackmailing others to achieve your aim. |

seunmsg: Lol. You will wait forever if you want to make sense of how Igbos think and talk. Their life is about hate, hate, hate and more hate. Any normal person, even if Igbo, should be wondering why Umahi would even say this because it is clear he has turned into the usual ingrate and forgetful blackmailer most Igbos are. Where was Umahi when his myopic and hateful Igbo kinsmen resoundingly rejected APC in 2014, because their "son" GEJ was in power, while Yorubas and Northerners toiled to build the Party? Umahi, in typical Igbo ingrate fashion , forgets he is a PDP decampee who should not even be dictating to the APC at a time he has not proven his worth and loyalty to the ruling Party. He is now blackmailing APC literally minutes after becoming a member of the Party while many Yorubas who are founding fathers of APC, like Tinubu and Akande, vitally integral to the success of the Party in 2015, remain silent. What shows Igbos are blackmailers and opportunistic usurpers more than this crass announcement of Umahi? What will a man like Umahi teach his kids about life when he is now coming out to proclaim that those who have not sown, and even tried to destroy crops while they were growing , should reap the entire harvest? 2 Likes |
