Ammishaddai:which point? Why not regulate usage instead? Out of Tobacco and cannabis, which kills faster? Cannabis has several medicinal values than Tobacco. Now that it's yet to be regulated, almost all the Nigerian police force, army, ministers, senators and millions in the society take cannabis...marwa could be taking it in his closet too, who knows? They are all advocates of do as I say, but not do as I do policies. 2 years ago, my cousin had the opportunity of accompanying his boss to teslim balogun stadium where his boss met with his protégé. He quickly wore his kits and joined the likes of former governor fashola on the pitch to play football. After they were done, he told me he saw fashola smoking igbo( cannabis) . As soon as he was done, he dashed into his vehicle and left. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Medical marijuana uses the marijuana plant or chemicals in it to treat diseases or conditions. It's basically the same product as recreational marijuana, but it's taken for medical purposes. The marijuana plant contains more than 100 different chemicals called cannabinoids. Each one has a different effect on the body. Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are the main chemicals used in medicine. THC also produces the "high" people feel when they smoke marijuana or eat . cannabinoids might: Reduce anxiety Reduce inflammation and relieve pain Control nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy Kill cancer cells and slow tumor growth Relax tight muscles in people with MS Stimulate appetite and improve weight gain in people with cancer and AIDS Culled from WebMD. 1 Like |

Ammishaddai: I think we need to be careful to make a distinction between drug abuse and safe healthcare use. Literally any medicine can be abused. But for very sick people, those same hard drugs can allow them to recover and live normal lives. Also, some people abuse drugs because they're not getting medical care they need. Something as safe and inexpensive as mar-juana could give a lot more people access to affordable medicine. |

thebosstrevor1: Beer also makes people drunk and sometimes hallucinate when taken in overdose....but beer has never made anyone go mad. The number cause of metal illness today in nigeria amongst our youth isn't weed but codeine and tramadol which are legally sold to youths without prescription. You really need to at least read on topics before giving hot takes. 5 Likes |

Ammishaddai:Yes, if legalised in Nigeria. It can be applied in many ways, not only by smoking it. Cannabis is good in the treatment of eczema. Most of the hair creams contain it. Check all the hair cream used in barbing salon, look inside and you'd see some dark particle inside. It's cannabis. It kills dandruff more than anything. 4 Likes 1 Share |

thebosstrevor1: Because you personally are a terrorist health expert? Just go 2 days without water and tell me if you reason the same. Using the excuse of "bad people use this" is the silliest reason to ban something. You can use the reasoning to ban video cameras, motorcycles, Toyota hilux and slippers because terrorists use them. Actually show the harm of the item and the benefits of the ban or stop talking out of your rear end. 1 Like |

Also there is a relationship between Schizophrenia and marijuana use. https://ndarc.med.unsw.edu.au/blog/does-Cannabis-cause-mental-illness |

thebosstrevor1:It's not only by smoking it that makes it applicable in human lives. It's useful in so many amazing ways, medically. All the hair creams barbers use contain cannabis. Look at the dark particles inside...it's cannabis. It teats eczema like magic. If legalised and regulated, I'm in support. Whether it's even legalised or not, it doesn't stop people from abusing it, the number of consumers would only be reduced if regulated by NAFDAC and other relevant agencies 1 Like |

Funny thing is, most folks that commit crimes actually drink alot of hard liquor. People see Marijuana and picture touts in Nigeria. Plus, the Nafdac boss should check well, the number of abused dangerous drugs compared to Marijuana is alarming. Codeine, refnol, tramadol, Colorado, cocaine, etc. 3 Likes |
