Only accept a trip you are sure of completing on uber, because uber frowns against cancellation.
In essence, accept requests that are close to you not the 5km requests nor the 20 mins pickup requests.
Should incase you have to cancel any request, just make sure you drive to the pickup and cancel with any of the any reason that gives security reasons, like rider didn't use face mask, no place to park, can't find rider. Doing this does not affect your cancellation rate and you do not need to wait for 5 mins. Just cancel once it starts counting down.

Having low acceptance rate on uber has not stopped me from getting requests, maybe because there are lesser drivers.

You're 100% safe bro.
Even if you reject up to 90% of your requests.

The trick with uber is this, if the pickup time is much, 10mins upwards and you don't want to go on the trip, just let it ring out. They can never penalize for that unlike Bolt.

But if you accept a trip, please don't cancel. Try and complete it. But if you don't want to go on the trip and you've accepted already, let the rider Cancel.

Waiting on this means you will wait tirelessly. Only few riders cancel after informing them you can't go to their destination. They will simply tell you to cancel since you were the one that declined the destination.

All the trips I have cancled are the ones riders did not show up after waiting for at least 5 minutes.

Nothing will happen to your account for not accepting trips.
That's where Uber beat Bolt hands down and the main reasons I hardly drove on bolt.

You need to have patience and not cancel requests anyhow. Uber riders used to be right on time when there was cancellation fee but not the case anymore.

If you calculate the time you will use in getting another request plus the driving time to the pickup and the extra time the next rider will use before getting out, you will see that your patience will be better. Also ask for destination to know if its worth waiting for the rider to come out.

Yes I get but I have to be careful at the same time the first one I cancled was in a dark and area at around 8pm 20min pick up time and rider did not call till I get there I waited for minutes and I did not see the rider sent text and no response so I had to cancel it and used the option ride did not show up. Another one in lekki I got to the pick up around 9pm called the rider and she said he had left I was like so why didn't you cancel the ride and said her phone was off I waited for 5 minute to cancel the trip thanks to indriver that day that gave me a destination trip back to abule egba.

Yes, it's after bolt commission.

In July, I grossed 926,533. My net after commission was 750,000. Fueling was 123,000 at 4,100 daily. Profit was 627,000 or 20,900 daily. Last month I made less.

This month tho, is a different story. I've combined what I learned from my earnings of the last two months, made some re-adjustments, and my current monthly stats are promising after 4 days.

Gross is 135,610
Net is 108,995
Fueling is 16,400
Profit is 92,595 or 23,148 daily. An increase of 2,248 over my best month so far. Therefore, this tells me my restrategizing efforts are paying off. Average hours went up to 13. I'm working on keeping it down to the minimum and I have 26 days to go.

My last rider was a female optician who used to wake up by 4am in isolo and left home 5am daily, to get to work on the Island. She gets home 10pm. That's 18hrs daily. And she did it for 4 years before resigning.

My point is, nothing good comes easy. Every body with a dream must put in the time to make money. It's the money you make that will fund your dreams. If your 12 hours is too small, up it. You owe no one any explanations. No one cares if you work 15 hours or 20 hrs. People only associate with you when you are successful. They don't care about your sacrifices and the time you've put in. Anyone telling you that you work too hard doesn't even care about you. They just feel like talking, because if they tell you you work too hard, they should be willing to pay you for the time you decide to cut out by listening to their advice. But they won't. So I ignore. They're worthless to your grand scheme. Life is really all about you. If e never better for you, you can't help those around you. Time is very important. How you compartmentalize your time, is even more important than time itself.

I set my target this month at 1m. If nothing spectacularly negative happens this month, I'm definitely crossing 1m this month. Why? I simply identified a serious problem that affected my earnings in the month of July, in which I made 926,000.

That problem is this thread. An average long comment takes about 30 mins to compose. Then some minutes to proof read, and then posting 4 or 5 of such comments a day has taken over 2 hours of important time. Time that should have been used in driving. The mentality around here is that 15 hrs a day working is too much. But if you used that extra 3 hours to compose and post a comment, all is well... Scale of importance. You'll find out that it's even more beneficial to sleep with those 3 hrs, than post here.

Therefore, for the past 4 days, I've posted less. The ones I've posted so far have been when I'm done for the day, when I'm eating, when I'm on the toilet seat, but never when I'm behind the wheel, waiting for a trip. I also stopped reading felicity's posts. I just skip. Too long and vague. The result has been extra 2k daily. Believe it or not, this post has taken me almost 40 mins to type. Look at the time stamp on the screen shot. Now imagine if this was day time. LOL.

So my man, you need to create a goal, then set targets on how to meet that goal, and then avoid unnecessary distractions. Your earnings will improve.

Cheerfulgiver... Pls I sent you a mail since pls I haven't seen your reply

Uber is still the best app for a sane driver.

I concur with pocahontas on her submission about the app. Its just different from the rest.

Mind you, The highest ever earning per week of #227,000 (net) or #302,000 (gross) was made on UBER.

I rest my case.

Long pickups simply means few Drivers. This means a low driver to rider ratio.

If you have more drivers and more are still joining, it means you are doing something right.

Bolt is still the best app. You can plan your itinerary for the day.
I don't want any app to be throwing me around Lagos for peanuts.
