Fasting Blood Sugar Level 112mg,does It Call For Concern? by ceeceeuwa: 8:39am On Sep 06, 2021
Medical professionals in the house, please is blood sugar level of 112mg high? Should I be alarmed? Please help!!!
Update :
I went for HbA1c test and it read 5.5%. I repeated the blood sugar fasting test ith a glycometer an it was 102mg.
So far, the doctor said there is no cause for alarm with the results gotten above.
The reason for my initial hospital visits was because I was experiencing weight loss and frequent urination.
Some drugs have been prescribed. I'd see how things goes. Thanks to everyone for their submissions!

You are pre-diabetic. This means you have 90% chances of being diabetic in the future if you do not take adequate care in reducing your intake of carbohydrates, refined sugar and engage more in physical exercises.

However, the result may not properly capture your true health status if you are not currently exhibiting symptoms of diabetes. My advice is that you should visit a specialist who would subject you to proper test regimes in order to get your true state. Remember its not a death sentence and no stigma is attached. So it would be an issue if stigma was attached?

Yes it would be if everyone now start avoiding you just because you are diabetic even though its not contagious.

You are right. Another is drinking water + apple cidar vinegar BUT its also dangerous when the sugar level falls way below normal which is why he should visit a doctor to do the necessary analysis to avoid going into a fainting spell if this happens.

The Sugar level is still ok and at the same time very high. The normal sugar level falls between 75-115 mg/dl. You need to see a Doctor ASAP. My advise to you is, stop taking any carbohydrate, junks food and abstain from all soft-drink for now.

Furthermore, try to register at a gym centre near your home of residence. Always endeavour to walk briskly whenever you're going out. As one of the commenters said, drink plenty of water. It's not a death sentence.

You can also incorporate early morning jogging to it. You will see a great change in ur sugar level when next u go for a check up.
