I need you guys to give me some better suggestions on the way forward.

I can't just control myself whenever my husband is around.
In fact, I can't practice natural family planning methods, because I can't resist the urge whenever it comes up either in me or in him.
(Even if I'm not in the mood, once he is in the mood, no matter the time I am in my cycle, I will get in the mood immediately - and that's how it is for him too. No matter how tired he is, once I'm in the mood, he gets strength from no where, and that's how we will continue firing non-stop until our bones are both dead).

The main issue now is that, I don't like condoms, or daily contraceptives, or all these morning-after pills, and I don't want to sterilize myself because I might still want a last baby after 6 or 7 years from now.
The worst of it all is that these urges are always spontaneously unplanned.
We usually don't just know how they start.
From normal daily gistings to more normal gistings, and the next thing, serious urges from no where would just overcome us.

I don't want to have more kids.
I have had enough already.
I am really very grateful that my husband takes good care of me during all my pregnancies.
But I have had enough kids for now.
I want to be enjoying him non-stop without having to remind him that the timing is not right.,, after which I would still rush back to him to calm my own burning nerves.

I have had the last child for now.
At least, I don’t need another baby within the next four years.
Are there no long-lasting medicines that i can take or inject?

You just describe my hubby and I with your story .I get worried , too . But will be seeing a family doctor soon for family planning .

family planning is not advisable..

1) let hubby get the snip since you guys already have enough kids.

2) Nexplanon in your arm. Last for 3 years.

3) Depo provera Intramuscular every 3 months (use only for a maximum of 2 years at a time). Take a break and use something else before you go back to it if you must.

4) I don’t like IUDs but they work for many women. Last for 3-10 years depending on the type. So that’s an option

5) daily pills. Lol. I could never but it works for some ladies. You might be able to adhere to that. It just seems so inconvenient

6) always have plan B (levonorgestrel) in your medicine cabinet. For emergencies. Always. It will save your behind once in a while

But the side effects of using other means of birth control are not worse than what they prevent which is unwanted pregnancies.
Pregnancy is a HUGE deal so it’s technically worse than birth control side effects unless the couple are intentionally wanting to get pregnant
