And the funny thing is that about half of the Lagos IGR is being provided by SEners, and about 70% of Rivers state IGR is being provided by SEners also.

Proper economic planning and the installation of seaports at Oseakwa in Anambra and Obuaku in Abia, will quadruple the IGR of the SE states.

Adding Igbo areas in the SS stretching from Obigbo, to Opobo and Ubani, to Ogwashiuku to the SE will further help the Igbo economy.

Igbos will automatically be bestowed with the title of states with the largest IGRs

Lies from the pits of hell. You can't give what you don't have. If your statement were true, your states would be at the top of the chart. You people and your false claims.

The North and some states in the East will oppose the new VAT Ruling. After Vat collection by state the next should be decentralization of the Army and the police.

Why east and north when some states from the west are amongst the lowest and again , if states start collecting VATS most states in the South will be fine as the shares from their states that goes into the pool will be retained

one thing u will know is that South easteners will survive.. lol

They will. Forget the IGR stuff. They will survive.

They are socially enterpricing unlike the north. The north will suffer more.

Also, if there is more decentralization and seaports are working in other regions, it will cause more decentralized economy.

This is the right way to go. The current system centalized the economy to south west a lot.

I think yoruba nation will favour us more. We are going to make more money by taxing foreigners who are doing businesses or owning properties.
I wish Awo had fought for independence of yoruba nation. I wish he had supported Biafra course.

Lol. You are naive.

Without one Nigeria, most of the companies that are in Lagos boosting Lagos IGR will not be there.

IOCs will not have their headquarters in Lagos. Their headquarters will be in Biafra.

Most multinationals will not have their headquarters in Lagos.

Most importantly, Lagos seaport wouldn't have been the only one in the country.

Well, I can't speak for the whole state but I am sure Yeye Bello will want to prove stubborn and subversive (to his hegemonists) in Kogi State.

Forget that last data compiled as allusion that some Eastern states will go against the VAT. For one, I know it's because they are not collecting their VAT directly that's why they are at the bottom of the wrung, watchout for the next charts when they start collecting and see major reorganization and realignments that will even shake the position of Kano and Kaduna.

Independence of Yoruba nation would not have favoured the Yorubas themselves, Awolowo knew better. Yorubas would excel if a true federalism is practised.

Corruption is the major problem in Nigeria, not the sharing of IGR .

The VAT from South East is even a culmination of VAT from just five states, as compared to the other regions.

When someone lied to you and you believed it, is understandable.

But when you lied to yourself and you believed it, your case is irredeemable.

What a pity.

Most importantly, the role and the influence of the Central Bank needs to be domesticated so that States can run independent economies.... if the present system remains under the influence and total control of the Federal Government and the Governor is as subdued as the Head of a Federal Parastatal under the Executive.

He is not called a Governor for nothing if he is the lap dog of the Executive and his and their interests run contrary to the rest of the Federation.

We are talking about VAT, you are talking of oil. Oil producing with nothing to show.
If you are counting Anambra as part of the oil producing states, better tell Anambra to firm up its revenue collection efforts. Anambra posts figures similar to those of Borno.
If you are waiting for oil, better stop daydreaming.
