TheSuperNerd: It's a good thing you cited the Dessers - Osimhen - Haaland reference, because just as I reiterated to SZero, my view on this materr has not changed. The player Dessers is a better striker than Haaland and Osimhen. Secondly, it is unprofessional for you to jump to the conclusion that my criticism is based on satisfying other readers or my insecurity. Let's cite the player Onyekuru, for example. My inclination towards Henry is so well documented that nobody on this thread mentions him more than I do. But nobody on this thread has critiqued his game more than me. Here is a criticism I made of him in 2020. TheLoneCitizen: Clout chasing? Your opinion. On my part, it shows that I don't get blindly yoked to a player and become veiled to his flaws. If I who like them don't unveil their flaws, who will? Now thirdly, you said I don't "observe enough", and that's your view, mate. But unlike many football enthusiasts, I need just half an hour to ascertain if a player is quality, having just one bad game or is outrightly bad. To prove this, all of the predictions I have made regarding a player in a particular match has come to fruition. Let me share three examples: TheLoneCitizen: TheLoneCitizen: TheLoneCitizen: This isn't just a fortuitous stroke of luck, but shows my heightened understanding of the game and a player's potential. Sorry for the braggadoccia. Now regarding Ejuke, to show how much I love this player, nobody on this thread has mentioned him more than me this year. But for you not to see that Ejuke is still yet to bloom into a creative player is a flaw on your reasoning and understanding. Now to clarify, the chances created mentioned by brother Nerd here is Key Passes. Key passes alone aren't conclusively determinant on how creative a player. A more conclusive determinant on creativity is the amount of clear cut chances created or expected assists. So to accurately evaluate a players creativity, combine their key passes with their clear cut chances created and boom. Now let's analyse Ejuke. During his time in Holland, Ejuke created 41 chances or key passes, which amounted to 1.6 per game. This is quite an impressive number but only if you look at it from one perspective. Ejuke made more touches than any other forward player in Heereven, making 24 successful passes per game. This means he needed 24 passes to create 1.6 chances. In comparison, last season, Moses Simon, in his worst season, created 2 chances per 26 passes, while Traore needed 28 passes to create 3 chances. Last season in Russia, Ejuke had the same creativity numbers as Aaron Wan Bissaka. Is that your definition of a "creative player?" Now to big chances. Ejuke has created 6 big chances in the past two seasons, the exact same number as Wan Bissaka. In the same period, Moses Simon has done two times that number and Adama Traore almost three times that number. Why Adama Traore? Traore has the exact amount of dribbling numbers and playing style as Ejuke, but despite his high big chances created, many believe he is indecisive in the final third and lacks creativity. Did you also notice I used players in higher leagues, yet they easily bettered Ejuke, even in his best season. These are players considered average in terms of creativity by majority. That is the definition of below par, my good man and shows just how randomly you attribute quality to players. But all these are just paper talk, I have watched Ejuke so much to determine he is more of explosive legs than a creative mind. No current Nigerian player in the world can create chances for themselves like Ejuke, but to do so for others, he is below average. Peace, mate. 9 Likes 1 Share |

JayromWrites:Going by this depletion, it's only logical to adopt a 3-4-3 formation Simon will definitely start and will partner Collins as they'd both play as RWB and LWB respectively. Shehu and Bonke likely to play a double 4 (DM) Onyekuru and Musa to flank Osimhen as the lone striker. Musa may* make way for Ejuke later on. Now to the defence, Omeruo, Awaziem and likely Ozorwanfor will form the back 3. Hopefully we pick all available point today |

If we start Ejuke behind the striker, it will be just as Mourinho said regarding Mikel. Sacrificing a good winger for a bad AM. Although Onyekuru played as a second striker on his debut for Olympiakos, he very likely will be useless against Cape Verde. Why? We don't have the creativity in midfield, and Cape Verde are better penetrated from out wide than through the middle. Cape Verde's tallest defender is 5cm shorter than Osimhen and 15cm shorter than Onuachu. This means crosses from out wide will wreck havoc on this defence. Another reason is Cape Verde might likely sit deep, so defence splitting passes will be easily snuffed out. Like we did with Liberia, where our two goals came from the wings, this might be our best goal outlet. So a 3-4-3, in my opinion is better suited for this game. 12 Likes |

Looollll.... why feel like you are threatened? Being wrong on this one doesn't make you a poor analyst all of a sudden. It only makes you wrong on this one. That's all. And all this epistle doesn't cancel out the fact that you are wrong to term Ejuke's Creative abilities as below par. Your references to other lads deflects from the central point here. That you are right on Onyekuru doesn't make you right on Ejuke. You missed this one just like you missed it when you argued with me about the Belgian league not having sites that give us statistical data on the league. Also, you are still wrong on Dessers being better than Osimhen and Haaland but won't delve much into that. It is just you hanging on to an opinion from the angle you choose to see things. Ejuke creates for himself more than he does for others doesn't mean he doesn't have good numbers in creating for others. And what else will chances created be referring to if not key passes and big chances created? Was it rocket science before?. Mister Citizen, the stats I reeled out prove you wrong to term the lad below par in the creation department. He isn't world class or top class in chances creation but he certainly isn't below par. Lad has decent chances creation numbers and that's the whole point. Just try observe more. Now have yourself a good day. Lol TheLoneCitizen: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Tolulopefinest: Musa is better off as a winger. Ejuke should be the creative midfielder. Apart from that the formation is good. My opinion in Ahmed Musa Musa can be very good on his day. There are two Musas the one of the 2014 and 2018 world cup and a lacklustre Musa. However, in difficult situations like this the real Musa of the world cup shows up. Rohr just needs to work on his psyche and mentality. Musa is unplayable when in the mood and he thrives when the team needs a leader. I believe Musa will prove himself today as he rises to the occasion when it is needed 1 Like |

Hope he delivers a virtuoso performance to celebrate his hundred cap. Glad he looks to have decided to start Ejuke. His ability to dribble and hopefully hold on to the ball will be needed. Pray for maximum 3 points but a draw is fine by me. Hopeful of a positive result by God's grace. Let's go Super Eagles Philosopher1979: 1 Like |

Since Moffi has Grealish vibes, can we play him as an SS/AM with Onuachu or Osimhen? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 3:40pm On Sep 07, 2021 |
I hope he does. Meanwhile, a possible lineup is already in circulation by OGN. I was on twitter analysing this with a friend in the chats and I said if we go to a back 4, Shehu could play RB. But if it's a back three, Awaziem, Omeruo and Ozornwafor would be the CBs with Shehu in front of them as DM alongside Bonke or Kingsley. I just knew Shehu must start. So here we are if that lineup is indeed true. And it could just be it as OGN have hardly been wrong when it comes to lineups. At least, on that they try. Danielnino00: 1 Like |
